Wakeboarding

A. I observed that when I squirted the water, the purple marker bled all over into the surrounding area, and was "deeper" in the dents of the paper (from crumpling).

B. Yes water flowed as anticipated. I figured it would move into the surrounding area and pool in the creases.

C. There is a railroad (to the top of the paper) and my yard/house (at the bottom of the paper).

D. They are entering the ecosystem through the air, through animal decomposition and waste excretion, being transported by water, etc.

E. They would be concentrated in the soil, plant life, animals, water, and the carbon and nitrogen in the air. These are important elements for life, so they are all over in ecosystems.

F. Animals could eat a plant and leave the area (they would be transporting the plant matter containing the nutrients elsewhere). I believe these elements cycle through ecosystems/the environment so technically they wouldn't "leave" or become unavailable. (I guess maybe if you were speaking in terms of a specific carbon molecule.)

G. The railroad tracks and my yard/house have limited areas in which the animals can live. It has also limited the available nutrients somewhat because there used to be plants in these places before they were built.

H. There are many ways that organisms may affect abiotic factors of their environment. Organisms may affect the make up of the land by building shelter where they live. They may also cause blockages in water movement.
