The 261 is bringing their equipment down to SPUD for the polar express event. I had no prior knowledge of this move but heard the horn on the E unit being used and decided to go check it out. They've wyed the train at Minneapolis Junction and are departing for St. Paul.

Milwaukee 261 rolled north towards Duluth dodging the clouds through Bethel as a bi-plane paced the train.
I took this from the second floor bedroom window of a house under construction and left wide open. The homeowner has no idea that there was once some guy aimlessly wandering around taking pictures of a steam engine.
The 261 lives again. Under steam again for the first time since 2008 after undergoing its federal mandated overhaul. 261 is a 1944 Alco 4-8-4. Thanks to Bob Ball for lighting assistance. It took both of our flood lights.

Am 09.07.21 hat die 261 106-9 hier im Dormagener Rangierbahnhof ihre aus Krefeld-Uerdingen mitgebrachten Wagen mit den Wagen aus Dormagen zusammen rangiert. Nach Fertigstellung des Zuges fährt dieser weiter nach Köln-Gremberg.
