MILW 261 is humming along about 40 mph east of Kerkhoven, Minn. on the ex-Great Northern main line on June 4, 2017.

I've told my children I have mad ninja skills and never to mess with me. This one has obviously forgotten. It's so funny how they think I miss things. This little boy in particular likes to push it - he uses words in sentences that sound like swear words but are not (like beach), he flips people off with his ring finger etc. This time however, he did the real deal thinking I would never be fast enough to catch him. Wretched child!

Completing my trifecta of 2019 summertime steam, Milwaukee 261 looks graceful as always crossing the mighty Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis. The train was deadheading at this point to pick up the passengers for the 'Gourmet Express'.

Sh2-261, one hour of integration in HSO with Planewave CDK24 610/3962 f 6/5 telescope, QHY 600M Pro camera, are 12 shots of which in Ha 3x300 seconds, in OIII 4x300 seconds and in SII 5x300 seconds, processing with Pixinsight and Photoshop. All data and shots were captured with Telescope Live. Sh2-261, sometimes known as the Lower Nebula, is an emission nebula in the constellation Orion.

It is located in the northernmost part of the constellation, about 6° west of Alhena (γ Geminorum); it is easily visible in long-exposure photos taken even with medium-powered amateur instruments. It lies in the clear wake of the Milky Way in opposition to the galactic center and is surrounded by rich background star fields. The best time for observing it in the evening sky falls in the months between January and May, and although it is located in the northern celestial hemisphere, it can be observed from all populated areas of the Earth.

It is an H II region located on the outermost edge of the Orion Arm, at the limit of the galactic region between it and the Perseus Arm; it is located on the line of sight of the southernmost part of the Gemini OB1 association. One of the stars responsible for the ionization of the region's gases would be the blue star HD 41997, a fugitive star of spectral class O7.5V; to this are added other stars, including the blue star BD+15°1079, class B0. This star has sometimes been referred to as class O7, thus shifting the distance of the nebula up to 2000 parsecs due to the increase in the discrepancy between absolute magnitude, evidently brighter in a class O star, and apparent magnitude; through the analysis of the other ionizing stars, a distance of about 1000 parsecs (3260 light years) has been calculated, which seems to be more reliable, also given the redetermination of the star BD+15°1079 as belonging to class B0.

Today we went to the vet with our little troublemaker and she got declared healthy (even a little bit chubby)! She has been very good today and very sweet. She's lying between my feet right now snoring. :)

My laptop has been gathering dust in a corner of my room for a while, but I'm finally using it again! The weather has been super amazing here in Ireland, and I took advantage of that yesterday at a shoot with the band IM YOUR VINYL, this is their singer Dana!

Today, my dad took me out for my birthday breakfast! I'm proud of him for remembering, even if it is 7 months late. ;) And so we ate tasty crepes.

And now, I am off to watch a movie with the family, while I eat tasty chocolate.

I love the weekend. :)
