Leaving Northtown, the 261 gets a clear signal at Interstate and heads to Duluth after the engine has gone through a complete overhaul. Congratulations to the Sandbergs!
Nach Stillegung des Rheinkalk Werkes in Salzhemmendorf im Jahr 2017 gibt es auf der VzG 1820 zwischen Elze und Hameln keinen planmäßigen Güterverkehr mehr. Gelegentlich "verirren" sich verschiedene Sonderleistungen auf die Strecke oder wie in diesem Fall, sorgen Bauarbeiten auf der Strecke Hameln - Weetzen für gelegentlichen Güterverkehr.
So auch am Freitag den 12.06.2020, als die Hamelner Übergabe wegen einer zum Abend beginnenden Totalsperrung auf der zuvor genannten Strecke den Umweg über Elze nehmen musste.
Gegen 19:15 verließ der mit 261 029 bespannte und als ER 62997 bezeichnete Zug den Bahnhof Elze und wurde dabei kurz hinter Elze im Bild festgehalten.

Seeing as though its Thanksgiving, and there are a few things to be thankful for..thats what i'll focus on.
I'm thankful for...
Family helping me through these past 3.5 years.
Friends who well didn't exactly help nor hurt me these past 3.5 years.
My professors who've pushed me to do great things
and most importantly, I am thankful for my high school graphics teacher because if it weren't for him, I'd have never got interested in computers or layouts or anything of the sort. So today, i just want to thank him for all of his influence.

A couple of red E400 EVs have been appearing at Bromley originally these were destined for the 287 but that route now has Electroliners as the allocation and shuffling these E400 EVs are not needed, plus the fact Bromley have E400 EVs for the SL3.
Dashed plans of seeing the Pere Marquette 1225 this year due to an overhaul taking place. I went to the more closer to home option of seeing the 261 depart the Union Depot in Saint Paul. This was first run of the year.
At the Seneca vegetable canning plant in Arlington MN. The 261 heads to Winthrop MN on a rare mileage venture over ex- M&St L trackage.

IKON Ascension Redux Eyes - Storm
Day 261/366 of Project 365 (Thursday, 2020 September 17 - 130th consecutive daily photo): Wasp and bee on Swamp Goldenrod (Solidago patula).
Milwaukee Road 261 sits on display under steam at Union Depot Train Days.
This is 261's second "Train Days" appearance, but 261 is no stranger to SPUD, running the annual "North Pole Express" in December since 2014.
Been 5 years since I've shot the 261, and though it was static display, it was still a worthy shot, and even more so since there's not people in the shot, hard to do when everyone is admiring a magnificent steamer.
Thanks to SPUD and RRHMA for making 2023 Train Days awesome.
The 261 lives again. Under steam again for the first time since 2008 after undergoing its federal mandated overhaul. 261 is a 1944 Alco 4-8-4.
On my scouting in the dark the previous night, I'd seen this crossing with a rather decrepit farmstead on the north side and figured it would be a good spot for my second stop if I could get ahead of the train.
As it turned out, getting ahead of the train wouldn't be a problem because they would stop a couple miles to the east to do a run by for the passengers at Bongards. I was easily ahead of them well before the stop anyways. After picking up the riders, 261 strutted westbound heading towards Glencoe on the old Milwaukee Road.
I took some promotional photos today for my friend Michael Bonnabel. He wrote and performs "The Good Boy". It's showing in L.A. till next weekend. If you're in L.A. and you enjoy good theater, please go see his show.

Am 26.08.2016 wollten wir bei Remscheid den Güterverkehr ablichten. An diesem Tag fuhr die 261 101 mit der Übergabe.
Zum Zeitpunkt der Aufnahme war diese in den Werken von Vaillant am rangieren und sollte in wenigen Minuten danach bereits auf dem Rückweg sein.
