In what appears to be CP/BN transfer, 261 leads five other motors and 21 cars up Great Northern Hill on new ballast and concrete ties.
Mit einem Skizug war die 115 261 hier auf der Giselabahn bei Hochfilzen auf dem Weg Richtung Saalfelden zu sehen.
261 032 hat mit EK 53902 Langelsheim - Braunschweig Rbf vor wenigen Minuten den Bahnhof Langelsheim verlassen und wurde am östlichen Einfahrvorsignal des Bahnhofs abgepasst. Der nächste Halt des Zuges wird der Bahnhof Oker sein. Nach der Zustellung von weiteren Wagen geht es anschließend weiter nach Braunschweig Rbf (21.04.2016).

This is Rose time and you can marvel at Roses all over Portland. This particular Rose is planted 16 years ago in the front yard. I love everything about it.
Number 261 on my "One of a kind" flower images project.
Steam Locomotive 261 nears Chanhassen where they will pick up passengers for the annual "Gourmet Express". Even though it was gloomy and rainy, trackside was colorful. Also, regardless of weather, it's always great to see the 261.
261 074 bespannte am 15.05.2015 die Sonderleistung EK 53461 von Braunschweig Rbf nach Schladen, um die dortige Zuckerfabrik der Nordzucker AG mit leeren Tadgs Wagen für den Zuckertransport zu versorgen. DIe Fuhre wurde dabei kurz vor Schladen, in der Nähe des kleinen Ortes Börßum im Bild festgehalten.
Von Limburg aus wird täglich per Bahn Ton nach Italien gefahren. Dieser kommt dabei von mehreren Verladestellen, die für täglichen und auch pünktlichen Güterverkehr auf nicht elektrifizierten Strecken sorgen. Eine davon ist Löhnberg, von wo aus die Tonzüge teilweise sogar zweimal am Tag durchs malerische Lahntal fahren. Am 26.05. stattete ich dieser Strecke auch mal einen kurzen Besuch ab und 261 057 in recht gutem Zustand konnte mit der Rückleistung der Löhnberg-Übergabe in Aumenau fotografiert werden. Ein interessantes Detail ist, dass dort in einem Gleis die nicht ganz so häufigen Y-Stahlschwellen liegen.
Am 08. März 2021 befand sich 261 037 mit ihrer Übergabe von Niedermarschacht bereits auf dem Rückweg nach Maschen Rbf., als sie bei Fahrenholz auf dem Ilmenaudamm entlang fährt.

This was her 2016 annual fall colors excursion. Every year for the last several years she has hauled an excursion train to some point in Minnesota, usually within a couple hours or so of her home in Minneapolis.
The year before I was on the train. This year I followed it with my camera. Both were equally enjoyable!

Erst ganz am Anfang seiner langen Reise war der GAG 47337 am 10.09., als er gerade seinen Startbahnhof Gößnitz auf dem Weg nach Tschechien verlässt. Die Gravita wird den Zug bis Zwickau bespannen und dort an die elektrische Traktion übergeben.

Zieht am Morgen des 22.04.20 die Übergabe von Hannover Linden nach Bad Salzdetfurth und konnte bei Klein Düngen abgelichtet werden.
Nachdem die Busecker Übergabe an jenem Freitag ein voller Erfolg war, ging es wenn man schonmal wach ist weiter ins Lahntal und auch dort mussten wir nicht lange warten, ehe die nächste Gravita des Weges kam. Hier nun die Löhnberger Übergabe ein paar km vor ihrem Ziel.
Info zum Standort, da es ziemlich Gleisnah wirkt: Einen Meter rechts der Hektometertafel.
261 046-7 fährt mit einem umgeleiteten Nahgüter am ESig von Dessau-Alten vorbei. Erst durch die Vorarbeiten zum Umbau auf ESTW konnte man hier wieder Bilder machen. Wenige Jahre zuvor hätte man sich durch ein Jungle-artiges Unterholz kämpfen müssen.
