A foggy night at the Christian Science Center Plaza. Looking through the trees past the fountain (not yet on) toward the reflecting pool, Mother Church, and the trio of Brutalist buildings that ring the reflecting pool: the Colonnade Building, Reflection Hall, and the towering 177 Huntington, the former CSC Administration Building-- all designed in the early 1970s by Araldo Cossutta of I. M. Pei & Associates. Back Bay, Boston.

This migrant was taking advantage of our Heptacodium tree on October 1. We had two big waves of migration at the western end of Lake Ontario: the first on Sept 8/9 and the second on Sept. 24/25. Thanks to a warm October, we continued seeing occasional individuals throughout the month, the last pair being on October 24.... probably too late to make it to Mexico.

I know there are a lot of better eclipse shots out there, but I can't believe I handheld this at 1/60 and 270mm - the VR (vibration reduction), must have really worked.
Taken in Traveler's Rest, South Carolina from the BI-LO parking lot off 25. Thanks to my neighbor, Reid for calling last minute to see if I wanted to head down to the totality zone. No traffic at all. Really worthwhile, amazing, unbelievable, hard to put into words. So Thankful that I got to experience it
