Gabby never disappoints as a 365 model. We have a lot of fun during the shoot, which is an added bonus. She's leaving to work in Disney World on Sunday so I just had to have her in my 365 one last time before she left! Weird to think this project will be over when she gets home...

Zwei "Kanada-Trecker" auf dem Weg nach München
- und der Lokführer freut sich! ✌
Zugegeben: So ein wirklich seltener Anblick ist das im Großraum München bzw. insgesamt in Oberbayern eigentlich nicht.
Aber der Reihe nach...
Ach ja, der legendäre Heimeranplatz in München. Vermutlich ist er in München der größte Anlaufpunkt für Fotografen, insbesondere für Gast-Knipser. Leicht erreichbar und einigen Zugverkehr bietend kann das auch nicht wirklich verwundern.
Und: Am Heimeranplatz ist man eigentlich so gut wie nie alleine, mindestens ein anderer Fotograf ist meistens da - unabhängig von der Witterung. Teilweise sogar bis zu 10 Fotografen gleichzeitig... Viele "Karrieren" begannen einst dort, viele Kontakte wurden dort bereits geknüpft, sogar einige Freundschaften sind dort entstanden.
Eigentlich ein "magischer" Ort, der innerhalb der "Fachwelt" ( 😉 ) allerdings durchaus auch mal polarisiert...
...aber dennoch (oder gerade deswegen) ging es gestern wieder einmal an diesen sagenumwobenen Ort, wo letztlich einmal alles begann. Kontakte pflegen und so. Sehen und gesehen werden - kennt man ja... 😉 Insgesamt vier Fotografen wurden es dann gestern - unter anderem ein Kollege, den ich zunächst etwa eineinhalb Jahre nicht mehr traf, dann allerdings unabgesprochen gleich an zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen - also am Samstag in Aßling und am Sonntag am Heimeranplatz. Natürlich seien hiermit aber alle anderen Anwesenden herzlich gegrüßt - es war wieder mal ein Fest!
Es war mir quasi ein inneres Blumenpflücken... 😉
Nun zu Lok und Zug:
Die Loks der "Class 66" im Farbkleid der Euro Cargo Rail (ECR, inzwischen verkauft an DB Cargo) sind inzwischen im Güterverkehr rund um Mühldorf stark vertreten. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Variante (bzw. eine Weiterentwicklung) der bekannten Baureihe 266 alias "Class 66", die dann in Europa meist - übrigens fälschlicherweise - als "Class 77" bezeichnet wird. Es handelt sich dabei um Loks der Bauserie 266.4 und somit korrekterweise ebenfalls um "Class 66". Die falsche Bezeichnung als "Class 77" hat ihren Ursprung vermutlich in der französischen Nummerierung als 077.
Bei der Deutschen Bahn AG werden diese Loks - entgegen der offiziellen Baureihenbezeichnung im nationalen Fahrzeugregister (NVR) des Eisenbahn-Bundesamtes (EBA) - als 247 bezeichnet. Nicht zu verwechseln ist die Bezeichnung der Loks 266.4 als 247 übrigens mit der vom NVR bzw. EBA vergebenen "echten" Baureihe 247. Hinter der Baureihe 247 verbirgt sich nämlich die bereits zweimal hier gezeigte Dieselvariante des Loktyps Vectron. 😉
Vermehrt sind derzeit jene Loks der Baureihe 266.4, die vorher in Frankreich im Einsatz waren, noch als 077 nummeriert und als solche im Güterzugeinsatz rund um Mühldorf. Inzwischen umgenummert ist allerdings die heute hier gezeigte 247 056, die (vermutlich) im Jahr 2009 als damals noch 077 056 bzw. 77056 an die ECR - Euro Cargo Rail SAS mit Sitz in Paris ausgeliefert wurde. Zeitnah nach ihrer Abnahme im Jahr 2010 wurde die Lok dann an (damals noch) DB Schenker Rail Deutschland bzw. heute DB Cargo vermietet, die die Lok dann im Jahre 2013 auch komplett übernommen, also gekauft, hat. Die 247 060 dürfte nach vorliegenden Aufzeichnungen die Class 66 mit der höchsten Ordnungszahl bei DB Cargo in Deutschland sein.
Am vergangenen Sonntag kam der bestens gelaunte und nicht ganz unbekannte Lokführer ( 😉 ) mit 247 056 alias 266 456 und einer Schwesterlok mit Containern als KT 50338 ([Wackerwerk -] Mühldorf - Hamburg-Waltershof) nach München, wo der Zug dann im Rangierbahnhof München Nord an eine E-Lok übergeben wurde, die den Zug weiter in Richtung Norden brachte.

So, to keep things interesting, I chose FOREGROUND for my star trails last night, early this morning! YA, something different! I have ALWAYS wanted to use my little log cabin in my back yard as foreground for star trails, but there are some pretty large trees behind it and the stars are not viewable if you look up straight on of the cabin. This being the same one that housed the rattle snake for a bit! For those of you who have been with me for a while, lol. Oh, and Lucy, what I named our snake, has not been seen sense. Also, the trees made a nice effect. And, for the first exposure, of the 142 exposures, I did do the light painting on the tree to the left and the cabin and tree to the right. For a little bit any way. I chose to keep them in, even though there are two spots at which I feel are too bright, its still better then a dark mass on each side! I would have done a better job at making the cabin lighter, but that made the stars more brighter, and I mean the black sky part, not the star part. A look I am not fond of. I love the contrast of black sky with the bright star paths. So to take that away, was not worth seeing the full details of the log cabin. Yes, it is quite tall, two stories along with a bright yellow slide to the right, for the kids to escape. But I don't let them play in it any more, after the sighting of Lucy! :)
Geek talk:
I did a total of 142 exposures for this one
1st exposure, my test shot, was 30 seconds, at ISO 640. And light painting on the left and right of the image for the trees and log cabin.
Remander 141 exposures, all of which are 2 minutes long, as ISO 640.
The entire time, I remained at 10mm and f/3.5. Did I miss anything? So, as the evening is winding down and I must say good night, please enjoy!
Yes, I have been MIA today, I got a new phone yesterday, a so called "smart" phone. Been pulling my hair out trying to get my contacts on board as well as deal with the whole ring tone crud! FINALLY got it resolved, so I can get back to LIFE! Just in time to take a MINI trip tomorrow to Anaheim. :) Me, my man and my boy! SWEET life I live! (Yes, I know I am a lucky gal!)
