22.950 sono i soldati i cui resti sono custoditi nel Sacrario della Grande Guerra a Cima Grappa, tra italiani e austroungarici.

Il totale delle perdite causate dal conflitto si può stimare a più di 37 milioni, contando più di 16 milioni di morti e più di 20 milioni di feriti e mutilati, sia militari che civili, cifra che fa della "Grande Guerra" uno dei più sanguinosi conflitti della storia umana.,,,"

Gosh, this is a terrible photo. Not well today though, more than drugged up on paracetamol and blankets so hopefully I should feel better tomorrow.
This is part of my Valentine's card from Jamie, which arrived yesterday. He felt horrible, because he works away on a cruise ship and couldn't get on the internet to send it in time, bless him.
It's hard being away from who you love, but when you see them again it's all worth it.
Time makes everything that bit more special.

This view fascinated me cos I could see part of the route we'd just walked along to get here. Main buildings are the Royal Exchange, the Bank of England and Mansion House.

The climbing was difficult that day, the mistral was so very strong especially at the summit, my eyes were very watery that I couldn't see for a while. The sun's halo is easily visible in October each year.
