2023 Photo 10/355: Not the photo I was trying for my 365-day project, but neither my son, Jack, nor his dog, Sebastian, was very eager or patient to stand in the middle of a 40-meter-high (125-foot) span over a river to pose for a photo at High Bridge State Park. HBSP is a rails-to-trails park in Southside Virginia at a rail crossing of the Appomattox River (visible in the distance) that was strategically important to both North and South in 1865 toward the end of the War Between the States. The original span was burned sometime after the war and replace with the present one. When the park was developed, the tracks on the bridge were ripped up and safety fences on each side were built. ©2023 John M. Hudson | jmhudson1.com

Op de vroege ochtend op Zondag 5 Maart 2023 de terug keerde Alpen Express vastleggen als trein 70458 afkomstig uit Bludenz/Bischofshofen met als tractie de RXP 9902(past goed bij deze trein !),die deze trein op Venlo had over genomen van de GfF 110 459 ,

"Carrasecare or Carre 'e segare, this word identifies the carnival in the central areas of Sardinia. Etymologically it means "living flesh to be torn apart", as it was consumed in the Dionysian festivals to commemorate the death of the god torn to pieces by the titans."
These grow in vast numbers along the Thames Estuary so I always try to capture one or two each year. Here is this year’s first effort.
