** The image of the Humber Bridge is not inappropriate I traveled across it yesterday to spend New Years Eve with some friends on the South Bank of the River. This morning I drove back to Hull over the bridge . We don’t use it that often but I do enjoy crossing over it. Its a splendid bridge with fantastic views over the River Humber

Michel terrassant le dragon

À la fin du 19ème siècle, une statue de l'archange Michel est sculptée par Paul-Émile Millefaut (1848-1907) avant de rejoindre la basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière à Lyon où elle doit surplomber l'abside, après avoir été présentée à l'exposition universelle de 1889. Les commanditaires souhaitant récupérer la statue avant l'exposition, une réplique exacte est fabriquée et exposée à Paris, puis rachetée en 1897 par Saint-Michel-Mont-Mercure, ), et installée au sommet de son église, point culminant de la Vendée.

At the end of the 19th century, a statue of the Archangel Michael was sculpted by Paul-Émile Millefaut (1848-1907) before joining the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière in Lyon where it was to overlook the apse, after being presented at the 1889 World Exposition. Sponsors wishing to recover the statue before the exhibition, an exact replica is manufactured and exhibited in Paris, then bought in 1897 by Saint-Michel-Mont-Mercure), and installed at the top of his church, the highest point of the Vendée.

Since 2013, I've photographed this side door to the music hall at Snug Harbor on Staten Island, New York. Most recently, just before moving to Savannah in 2017.

IV K 99 608 der SDG, beschildert als 99 557, mit einem Prignitzer Kleinbahnzug auf dem Weg nach Mesendorf hinter dem Bahnübergang Tüchener Weg. Ursprünglich war diese Szene nicht geplant, das wunderschöne tiefstehende Abendlicht konnten und wollten wir aber dann doch noch nutzen. Es war an diesem Tag das letzte Foto einer sehr gelungenen Fotoveranstaltung!
