2022 photos on Flickr

El colega de Flickr 11299883 me hizo notar cómo el fruto del boj (Buxus sempervirens) en maduración abre su cápsula en tres valvas cada una de ellas con un parecido extraordinario a un búho quedando además las semillas ubicadas en las supuestas "cuencas de los ojos".

Este "ver parecidos" a caras o formas (pareidolia) está excelentemente recogido fotográficamente por colegas de Flickr.

En este caso el fruto, en estado de maduración avanzada, había perdido las semillas y por tanto parte de la gracia del "búho".

We watched helplessly and in suspense and no small amount of wonder at a half-hour struggle between a gnu and a Nile crocodile. Several times the croc dragged the victim well into the river in an effort to down it and several times the gnu kicked and scrambled its way to shore. At the car show.

At the 2022 Annual Kettering Cruise-in, a local car show, I met a fellow by the name of Chad who had a rather unique display of 1/6th scale cars and dolls. He graciously allowed me to take quite a few shots of his collection.

This was the best bubble image I could muster from the batch I shot this morning. I love the ripples that distort everything a bit. It is sort of the way I am feeling about life over the last two years; it happened yet it is all a blur. Here's hoping for direction and clarity for 2022.
