No, that isn't our house...it's actually a detached barn or garage! I especially like the oak tree and the fence railing! But this was taken just over a week ago, when our heavy snow hit, and we actually lost power for nearly 12 hours! That was a first for us! Course, since then, we've had even more snow, and they're calling for blizzard-like conditions. It was -12 degrees this morning, but with the wind chill factor, it felt like -35 degrees! Brrrr! Cold, cold winter! Hope you all enjoy!

Saint-Laurent de la Mer depuis la Pointe du Roselier, Plérin, Côtes-d'Armor, Bretagne
La pointe du Roselier, qui surplombe Martin-Plage et son rocher ainsi que la plage de Saint-Laurent, offre un point de vue sur la baie de Saint-Brieuc. On y trouve également un éperon barré qui témoigne d'une occupation à l'âge de fer, un four à boulets (de canon) datant de 1794 et un monument aux péris en mer érigé à la fin du 20ème siècle.
Elle a été récemment réaménagée, les voitures ont été éloignées et les camping-cars n'y ont plus accès.

The Pointe du Roselier, overlooking Martin-Plage and its rock, as well as the beach of Saint-Laurent, offers a view of the bay of Saint-Brieuc. There is also a barred spur that testifies to an occupation in the Iron Age, a ball kiln (cannon) dating from 1794 and a monument to the Dead at sea erected at the end of the 20th century.
It has been recently refurbished, the cars have been moved away and the campers no longer have access.

I had heard that Kodak had reintroduced the "Kodak Gold 200" and wanted to try it. The film is quite nice - but in backlight the colors change a lot. Violet dominates. This results in "artistic" effects - but is far away from reality. My favorite film will probably not be "Kodak Gold".

A few months ago I came across a Panasonic Lumix LX100 for sale, brand new in box, for 195 US dollars. This is quite the steal because used ones are sold for $450 and up.
Once I got it, I tested it briefly, but then got too busy to do anything with it for a while. I am finally getting around to putting it through its paces. The camera was released in 2014 (which is a long time ago in camera years). It features a Micro Four Thirds sensor and a 24-72mm-equivalent f/1.7-2.8 lens apparently co-designed with Leica.
Although old, the camera performs very nicely, and I look forward to using it as my pocket camera for outings and travel for the next few years.
