Yes, because of reflected light, this big cat's eyes really do appear to be blue. Using a 200-500mm lens to photograph it and more than half filling the frame at just 220mm, this leopard was not at all far away. As darkness quickly fell on the first day of our safari in northern Kenya's Samburu National Reserve, we were able to stay with the leopard for a long distance at the beginning of its evening hunt. ©2022 John M. Brest harbour, morning of a record breaking scorching day
July 18, 2022 : 39.3°C (102.74°F) in Brest (Finistère, Brittany, France) - a historic record. «I never imagined seeing this in my career», admits the head of the Météo France centre in Brest Guipavas. The record of 35.2°C (95.36°F) on July 12, 1949 was smashed on Sunday, July 17, 2022, and then again on Monday, July 18.

Re: the XC 35mm f/2, I'm really quite impressed with the quality of this cheap plastic lens. Shot wide open at f/2.
The Aare Gorge is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Switzerland. The river has eaten deep into the rocks. There are many glacial mills - the walls of the gorge are rubbed bare in some places. At a few places the gorge is only a few meters wide - there it is relatively dark - in other places it is wider and the sun falls on the river and the rocks.
It may not be so smart to take photos there - all places have been photographed from all sides by countless visitors. But since my daughter really wanted to go there again, I thought to myself: It's an opportunity - so take pictures!

Pudelnass sind wir noch 2 Minuten vor dieser Aufnahme von einem kurzen kräftigen Gewitterguss geworden. Aber so schnell wie die Front kam war sie auch wieder abgezogen. Als nur wenig später 99 608 - beschildert als 99 557 - mit ihrem Prignitzer Schmalspurzug am Tüchener Weg auftauchte schien schon wieder die Sonne! Ein Regenbogen wäre jetzt natürlich ein Highlight gewesen .....

Ligne Paris-Montparnasse - Nantes. Ce train de marchandises vient de Nantes et approche de la gare d'Angers. Sol fertile, 30°c et arrosage, les salades poussent très bien en le regardant passer.
Line Paris-Montparnasse - Nantes. This freight train comes from Nantes and approaches the station of Angers.
Fertile soil, 30°c (86°f) and watering, salads grow very well watching it go by.

!St blooming cherry blossoms
Cant't believe this cherry is in bloom already, almost 2 weeks earlier than last year..What's happening in this planet? Climate change is getting worse and worse now. An alarming phenomenon, I must say. :-((
Solenostemon is a former genus of flowering plants in the family Lamiaceae. It has been included in the genus Plectranthus, but is now included in an expanded Coleus. They are native to tropical Africa, Asia and Australia. Some species formerly placed in this genus are cultivated for their highly variegated leaves.
