Ancien village de mariniers de Loire, la Pointe est à la confluence de la Maine et de la Loire (sur la photo, la Loire ; la Maine est au fond à droite, à peine en dehors du cadre, en la remontant vers le nord sur quelques kilomètres, on arrive à Angers).
Dès le XVIIème siècle, le charme du lieu a attiré les bourgeois angevins. A partir de la fin du XIXème siècle, le train puis le tramway facilitent l'accès à ce quartier résidentiel où fleurissent de petits édifices particuliers. L'architecture des bords de Loire s'apparente alors à un univers balnéaire...

A former village of mariners of the Loire, the Pointe is at the confluence of Maine and the Loire (in the photo, the Loire; the Maine is at the bottom right, just outside the frame, going up North for a few kilometers, one can reach Angers).
Since the 17th century, the charm of the place has attracted some rich people from the city, Angevins. From the end of the 19th century, the train and tram did facilitate access to this residential area where small private buildings flourish. The architecture of the banks of the Loire then resembles a seaside universe.

Sarrail Ridge is a 11.3-kilometer trail located near Kananaskis, Alberta. It is rated as difficult. The trail starts from the Upper Kananaskis Lake parking lot. The first part of the hike is steep so take your breaks but the views at Rawson Lake are very much worth the elevated heart rate! Once you get to the lake and see the tree and mountain reflection on the lake, you’ll have forgotten all about the incline on the way up. The following photo was taken at Rawson Lake, before climbing Sarrail Ridge.

Scramble to Sarrail Ridge was tough, lots of people returned back after enjoying the beauty of Rawson Lake from the bottom. From Rawson Lake to Sarrail Ridge, still quite people at the first 2/3 scrambling, reaching to the steepest part (75 degree), needed rope to climb, another portion of people gave up, returned… This final third is both physically and mentally challenging but entirely worth it for the view at the ridge! The view on top of the ridge was spectacular as shown in the photo! Total 7 hours hiking and climbing.

Zur Dampfwoche im Mai 2022 war nach zwei Jahren Pause 99 608 der SDG als Gastlok in die Prignitz gekommen. Zum Fototag trug sie die Lokschilder der ehemaligen Prignitzer IV K 99 557. Der Fotozug steht hier abfahrbereit in Mesendorf am Bahnsteig.

Hier habe ich mal wieder keine Ahnung was für Pilze das sind, aber sie standen fotogen da und wollten von mir aufgenommen werden.
