25 April 2013. Full moon over The Cathedral-Basilica of St. Louis King of France in the French Quarter, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. It is the oldest Catholic cathedral in continual use in the United States. The view is looking south down Orleans Avenue from Bourbon Street towards Jackson Square and the rear of the cathedral.

On the evenings following new year's, Taipei 101 lit up with messages welcoming 2013.
This popular spot is normally packed with photographers. There were only a handful of people here on this chilly drizzling evening.
As I snapped digital frames, I found myself looking through albums in my mind trying to remember what this place looked like 20 years ago when my dad took my brother and me hiking up this very mountain.
On this foggy evening, my not-so-foggy memory left me smiling.

On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918, the First World War ended. Civilians wanted to remember the people who had given their lives for peace and freedom. An American War Secretary, Moina Michael, inspired by John McCrae's poem,"In Flanders' Fields", began selling poppies to friends to raise money for the ex-Service community. The Royal British Legion adopted the poppy for its fundraising in 1921 - and so the tradition began.
Each year the nation expresses its unequivocal support for The Royal British Legion's work through the Poppy Appeal. Rabbit fest in Vancouver, BC. Put on by VRRA (Vancouver Rabbit Rescue & Advocacy), it is a great meating place for Rabbit owners, with games, grooming, free vet checks, as well as general information for good rabbit health.

In Singapore, Hindu devotees start their procession at the Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple in the early morning, carrying milk pots as offerings or attaching "kavadis" and spikes pierced on their body. The procession travels for 4 kilometres before finishing at Tank Road, Sri Thendayuthapani Temple.
