The lake was frozen over and the swans and birds was sitting on top.we came down 7 days a week to feed them until the ice broke.
Theriso
Theriso is a historic village and the birthplace of the mother of Eleftherios Venizelos. In 1905, Venizelos organised the Revolutionary Assembly in the village that ousted Prince George of Greece and precipitated the independence of Crete and its union with Greece (see Theriso revolt).
It has become my tradition this time of year to "look back" over the last 11 months and choose images from each that I didn't get around to posting for some reason or another.

Uppark house, set high on the South Downs, was built for the first Lord Tankerville in the late 17th century. In the 19th century stables and kitchens were added as separate buildings connected to the main building by tunnels. The servants used these tunnels so they would not be seen by the owners or their guests
