This is a work in progress.....
I haven't collected enough Luminance & Blue frames yet.
QHY9M & AT65EDQ
Luminance- 4x600s
Red-5x600s
Green-5x600s
Blue-2x600s
This was the 1st time I shot M42 with my AstroTech AT65EDQ. I really like the FOV with this little scope. This will probably be the 1st shot of many this year, this nebula is my favorite wintertime target

My blog:
The world did not end but it's the last hours of the year.
In the mirror, the reflection of 2013 is slowly appearing...
Happy new year to you !
Le monde ne s'est pas fini mais l'année se termine.
Et dans le miroir, 2013 lentement se profile...
Bonne et heureuse année à tous...

Here we see Huddersfield Bus Company's (now Yorkshire Tiger) depot pet, Leyland Olympian K242 CHB depot bound on March 23rd 2013. This was the day Huddersfield ground to a complete halt; quite typically, the day I needed to get home to Cornwall, forcing me to walk the 5.5 miles to the railway station to start my journey! K242 was originally registered K3 YCL when bought new for the Yorkshire Coastliner services. Today in 2014 she still plys her trade daily, and can be found on all manner of services in and around the Huddersfield area. She was unfortunately the only member of the batch to survive the Leyland Olympian cull by Centrebus, somehow managing to escape the scrapman against all odds, and is now technically under Arriva ownership. Arriva's final Leyland?
A Red-flanked Bluetail was identified today 29/12/2016 in Comox, Vancouver Island. This is a photo of the first record for Canada taken in Feb 2013, a bird which spent several months in New Westminister BC and was seen by many birders from BC and across North America and caused quite a stir locally.
Red-flanked Bluetail is an Asian flycatcher.
Happy New Year to you all.
I had this shot in mind over Christmas but my daughter was unwell and had a temperature every day so had to put it on hold.
Got round to it today.
We saved all the Christmas sweetie wrappers specially, not sure how the chocolate got round her mouth though lol.
For the lighting I used
1 x softbox to my daughters left (Nikon SB600) 1/16th power
1 x softbox to my daughters right (Elemental strobe) 1/16th power
1 x Beauty dish with honeycomb grid to camera right (Elemental strobe)1/2 power
All lights where fired off camera using Yongnuo RF-602 trigger + receivers
The two softboxes where just outside the picture and level with my daughter so they was very close to her.
The beauty dish was beside myself and about three foot away from her.
I think portraits are one of the hardest things to do in photography so kudos to all you guys and gals who do an excellent job.

Sorry for the grainy low quality images, as these are the only available photos for the time being.
The only redeeming quality about these doll are the faces and to be quite honest they're not all that to begin with. The rest is the stuff you find at a drug store for a last minute gift. Overpriced and underwhelming.
My favorite "make overs" are Ariel, Snow, Aurora and Cindy. I love that they gave Ariel RED LIPS again! Yay
Aurora's updated do and face, while not movie accurate are very pretty.
I really don't like the bottom. Belle is so stoic, there's something odd about her. Jasmine's lips are too pale. Tiana and Rapunzel still look the same. =/
I realized that it's been a while since my last silhouette selfportrait. So it was time to bring it back into my stream. I always loved silhouette pictures. I hope you will enjoy this.
It's Friday and I wish you all a happy and relaxing weekend! :-)
