In life, it is important to know when something has come to an end, and when it is time to move on. Such is the case for me and Flickr. It's been an amazing journey, since 2008. I'm very proud of what I've done here. I was looking at my stream and felt kind of moved by how my story, both as a photographer and as a person, is told through these images and captions. All my ups and downs. Also, I've met some amazing people here.
Thank you all for your friendship and opportunity to see your amazing pictures. I want to thank specially those who stayed with me until the very end, those who never left.
It's funny, some people stopped being reciprocal, some just really disappeared without any explanation, and some even died. Flickr really is like a world of its own, and I'll sure miss it, and will miss you all!
Goodbye, my friends!
The koala lives almost entirely on eucalypt leaves, and rests motionless for about 16 to 18 hours a day, sleeping most of that time.
Koalas spend about three of their five active hours eating.
A clear skyline and a fantastic sunset. Wishing you a good weekend....I'm off to GB for a few days...

Rydal
One of the highlights of the year is Daffodils at Rydal”. An annual event held in the 2nd and 3rd weekend of September to celebrate the arrival of spring.
Thousands of daffodils have been planted in the parks and gardens of Rydal which is named after the English village of Rydal home for many years of the poet William Wordsworth, famous for his poem “The Daffodils”.

... a Barn Owl in flight!
I've wanted this shot for some time and at last I got it! Now, I want even better shots. The sun had just set and it was dusk when I spotted the Owl in flight. So I set my aperture at f/4, ISO at 5000, and left my shutter speed at 1/1000.
I was hand holding my 500 mm lens, which is quite heavy, that's why I had such a high shutter speed. It's hard for me not to move.
Next time, I'll bring a monopod and try a lower shutter speed so I can reduce the ISO some. But then again, I have to spot the Owl!
