...ou la maison des Nains car "Boudig" est traduit du breton par "petit être", le diminutif "Boud" serait " fée ou nymphe". "Boudiged" en est tout simplement le pluriel. "Ar boudiged" est le nom utilisé également pour les "Lutins" les "Nains" et non les "Korrigans"....
L'allée couverte de Brennilis, comme posée là depuis l'éternité, se trouve au cœur du parc naturel régional d'Armorique, et des Monts d'Arée, à quelques centaines de mètres du bourg de Brennilis.
Daté de la protohistoire, il s'agit d'une splendide sépulture en V, style architectural qui est la transition entre le Dolmen à couloir et l'Allée Couverte. Ce type de dolmen n'est pas fréquent en Bretagne.
A demi-cachée sous la couverture moussue du tertre encore bien délimité, ( tertre piriforme 17mx 3,5 m ), la chambre s'étire sur 13 mètres de long, large à l'entrée de 1,70 m pour s'élargir jusqu'à près de 3m au fond... La hauteur augmente également de l'entrée (1,20 m) vers le fond (1,75m). A noter son orientation au solciste d'hiver au lever : 126 ° exactement.
La couverture d'entrée a disparu, mais 3 autres dalles sont encore en place...
Ce superbe témoignage du passé ne fut classé aux monuments historiques qu'en 1995
Aujourd'hui, un hêtre majestueux se dresse à l'entrée du dolmen comme pour le protéger

plusieurs légendes y sont rattachées :
selon l'une d'elles, les nains qui y habitent sont en lutte permanente avec les habitants ( korrigans ou parfois géants selon les sources) de l'allée couverte du Mougau-Bihan, à Commana.
Ou encore qu'elle abrite en son centre un menhir vers lequel, à la nuit tombée, les fameux lutins entraîneraient les voyageurs égarés.
Une autre histoire raconte que lorsqu'un couple sur le point de se marier, s'aventurait dans la petite colline, le jeune homme ne devait pas essayer de profiter de l'endroit pour "goûter" la jeune fille, sinon les nains habitant les lieux lui donnaient une énorme correction 😉
On raconte aussi que le lieu est habité par des fées et des lutins, qui à la nuit tombée amènent les visiteurs dans une danse infernale jusqu'au levé du soleil.

Het was gisteren wel het daagje van de private goederenoperatoren, want naast twee maal DB Cargo en Crossrail, kreeg ik ook de bedieningstrein van Railtraxx naar Tessenderlo voor de lens - dankzij een vertaging van meer dan drie uur :-)
De bestuurder Stephen had trouwens vrije baan op dit stuk van lijn 35 omdat de IC die er normaal voor zat, gisteren geschrapt was.

A panoramic view of the Olympic Park at Stratford taken last Monday from the viewing gallery on the third floor of the John Lewis department store in the Westfield shopping mall.
I couldn't get an admission ticket for the park, so this was the best view I could get. From the left is the Aquatics Centre, the Orbit, the Olympic Stadium and nearest the camera the Water Polo Centre. In the distance the City of London can be seen.

I have tried to include following maxwell material concept using a simple primitive
Bi directional scatter distribution function (BSDF), layered materials, ior, bump, anisotropy, scatter, transmittance, roughness, coating, clip map, normal map, dispersion, frost, displacement, self illumination and standard grey with hdri image based lighting
Most of materials come from Maxwell material Resource site, rest are preset.. some are my own. But all are my fave.
And of course, dedicated to the progress of a rising photographer Abdul Waris

another image from my theme "looking down". This is one of the things that me and my amazing macro lens found on our photowalk. I love to discover things with macro that I would otherwise miss or pass by but when looking down you start to see the world with another pov.
Haven't been out to shoot lately, so into the archives I go. This is from a trip to the Smoky Mountains in the fall of 2012. It was worth the 11 hour drive just to walk along the Little River at this time of year.

Definitely a tricky jump! The flag was surprisingly difficult to work with, after a few failed attempts, we worked out what type of jumps would look good, while still making sure you could see the flag!

Ice is water frozen into the solid state. It can appear transparent or opaque bluish-white color, depending on the presence of impurities or air inclusions. The addition of other materials such as soil may further alter the appearance.
Ice appears in nature in forms of snowflakes, hail, icicles, glaciers, pack ice, frost, and entire polar ice caps. It is an important component of the global climate, and plays an important role in the water cycle. Furthermore, ice has numerous cultural applications, from ice cooling of drinks to winter sports and the art of ice sculpting.
The molecules in solid ice may be arranged in different ways, called phases, depending on the temperature and pressure. Usually ice is the phase known as ice Ih, which is the most abundant of the varying solid phases on the Earth's surface. The most common phase transition to ice Ih occurs when liquid water is cooled below 0°C (273.15K, 32°F) at standard atmospheric pressure. It can also deposit from vapour with no intervening liquid phase, such as in the formation of frost.
The word is derived from Old English īs, which in turn stems from Proto-Germanic isaz.

And the light of the full moon is reflecting on the snow of the mountain. In the starry sky a huge volcanic cloud with ash, gases, vapors.
