At the end of the fourth day of our voyage, we were pulling into Svolvaer, in the Lofoten islands. Although the day was clear and blustery, distant clouds were waiting in ambush over the mountains.
The weather was indecisive. But not I. I ran out of my cabin to the back deck to take this shot, before the little ship was overpowered by the big evil clouds.
(it never was - the brave blue sky won the fight that night)
Manu, Peru - Red & Green Macaws at a clay lick. Eating the clay helps rid them of toxins. Macaws, parrots and parakeets come to the clay licks in separate flocks, each flock taking a turn.

This piece continues my 'no outline' look...I'm pleased with it and like the fact that the style forces me to be a lot more considerate about colour combinations but I was extremely tempted to drop an outline on it towards the end...not sure how long I'll be able to hold out...
Great day, good people, hot sun.

Cheers!

Sorry that this photo is a slight variation of the one I did last newyears but I blew all my free time this week on the two Star Trek / Gilligan’s Island items and didn’t have time to do something new.

Thanks guys! My 1st EXPLORE!
Pharaoh's Quest is now leaking into stores, and I was lucky enough to get my paws on some from my local LEGO store. I think the line is really exciting - lots of new minifigs and elements - I've found every set [so far] to be a real treat. And so I built this Egyptian temple chamber, so that I could use some of those new elements.
Artifex Creations generously offered me a bunch of his really cool Brick Lights, and so I used them to light this creation. They were a lot of fun to work with, and a huge thanks goes out to him!
Oh, and if you're interested to see what it looks like without any fancy lighting.
You can find a lot more pictures at Brickshelf once moderated, or at MOCpages.
Kelly had electric eyes that tell a story every time you looked into them. We truly miss this little girl
