This piece continues my 'no outline' look...I'm pleased with it and like the fact that the style forces me to be a lot more considerate about colour combinations but I was extremely tempted to drop an outline on it towards the end...not sure how long I'll be able to hold out...

Great day, good people, hot sun.

In the main market in Leh, Ladakh

Pharaoh's Quest is now leaking into stores, and I was lucky enough to get my paws on some from my local LEGO store. I think the line is really exciting - lots of new minifigs and elements - I've found every set [so far] to be a real treat. And so I built this Egyptian temple chamber, so that I could use some of those new elements.

Artifex Creations generously offered me a bunch of his really cool Brick Lights, and so I used them to light this creation. They were a lot of fun to work with, and a huge thanks goes out to him!

Oh, and if you're interested to see what it looks like without any fancy lighting.

You can find a lot more pictures at Brickshelf once moderated, or at MOCpages.

Rocky came back for some goldfishing. afterwards she just plopped on top of a bush and started to groom herself. They are amazingly brazen....nothing fazes them.

Venice (Italian: Venezia [veˈnɛttsja] Venetian: Venexia [veˈnɛsja]; (Latin: Venetia)) is a city in northeast Italy sited on a group of 118 small islands separated by canals and linked by bridges.[1] It is located in the marshy Venetian Lagoon which stretches along the shoreline between the mouths of the Po and the Piave Rivers. Venice is renowned for the beauty of its setting, its architecture and its artworks.[1] The city in its entirety is listed as a World Heritage Site, along with its lagoon.[1]

Venice is the capital of the Veneto region. In 2009, there were 270,098 people residing in Venice's comune (the population estimate of 272,000 inhabitants includes the population of the whole Comune of Venezia; around 60,000[2] in the historic city of Venice (Centro storico); 176,000 in Terraferma (the Mainland), mostly in the large frazioni of Mestre and Marghera; 31,000 live on other islands in the lagoon). Together with Padua and Treviso, the city is included in the Padua-Treviso-Venice Metropolitan Area (PATREVE), with a total population of 1,600,000.

The name is derived from the ancient Veneti people who inhabited the region by the 10th century BC.[3][4] The city historically was the capital of the Venetian Republic. Venice has been known as the "La Dominante", "Serenissima", "Queen of the Adriatic", "City of Water", "City of Masks", "City of Bridges", "The Floating City", and "City of Canals". Luigi Barzini described it in The New York Times as "undoubtedly the most beautiful city built by man".[5] Venice has also been described by the Times Online as being one of Europe's most romantic cities.[6]

The Republic of Venice was a major maritime power during the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and a staging area for the Crusades and the Battle of Lepanto, as well as a very important center of commerce (especially silk, grain, and spice) and art in the 13th century up to the end of the 17th century. This made Venice a wealthy city throughout most of its history.[7] It is also known for its several important artistic movements, especially the Renaissance period. Venice has played an important role in the history of symphonic and operatic music, and it is the birthplace of Antonio Vivaldi.

Happy Halloween from Disneyland. I would have liked to post this earlier, but I was just too tired to finish processing last night. I stayed after the park closed for my first time to take photos. It was a lot of fun and I think I got some great shots, I still haven't loaded all the images to Lightroom but I'm excited to see what I got.

Quelques photos réalisées lors du dernier carnaval d'Annecy.

With the flooding in Australia and it being Fenced Friday, I couldn't help thinking about the movie Rabbit-Proof Fence. My heart goes out to all those who are suffering and hope for a speedy recovery and healing.
