Inaugurata nel 2002 all'ultimo piano del complesso del Lingotto, la pinacoteca raccoglie una selezione di opere provenienti dalla collezione privata di Gianni e Marella Agnelli.
La collezione è ospitata nello "scrigno", un corpo di acciaio con una superficie di 450 metri quadrati sollevato a 34 metri dalla pista di collaudo sul tetto dello stabilimento. La struttura è opera dell'architetto Renzo Piano. Lo stile architettonico rappresenta un'astronave di cristalli che riprende simbolicamente lo stile futurista della fabbrica originaria.
Oltre alla collezione permanente, il museo ospita periodicamente mostre temporanee d'arte moderna.

Le Concertgebouw Brugge a été conçu par les architectes belges Paul Robbrecht en Hilde Daem. Grâce aux façades en terre cuite du bâtiment, les architectes ont merveilleusement réussi à faire le lien entre cette perle de l’architecture moderne et le centre historique de Bruges. Concertgebouw abrite aussi une collection d’art contemporain intéressante.

2 Augustus 2002 startte een uniek archeologisch onderzoek in Gorinchem. Op de lokatie waar in 2003 een V&D vestiging haar deuren opende, werd een opgraving uitgevoerd met als doel de aard en ligging van het (Hof of Huis) van Arkel en de Grote School vast te leggen alsmede inzicht te krijgen in de oudste bewoning en opbouw van het terrein.
