PERSONAL FUN FACT: This bed flips up to reveal a bathtub. Whichever doll gets to stay in this room also has the luxury of taking a bath. As for the doll in the smaller bedroom? I guess she doesn't get to clean herself for the duration of her stay. I get it, these sets have to be reasonably priced so they can't add too many amenities. It was nice that there were two rooms, instead of just one. The backside of the bed becomes a vanity, with an opening door for storage!

Taken from a canoe only 25 feet away on a Moose Safari with a guide in a small lake near Moosehead Lake (Maine, USA). One of my luckiest captures, but oh I wish I had had a current digital camera that day!

PERSONAL FUN FACT written by my sister: I've got at least three pairs of these shorts--one for each of my Palm Beach Kens. These are a really awesome color and pattern. I played with mine a lot. Dennis (Palm Beach Ken) was one of my favorite guy dolls. He wore his own shorts quite a bit. While Dennis supplanted Chandler (1992 My First Ken) who supplanted Leroy (Water Jewel Magic Aladdin), I still played frequently with Chandler and Leroy even after getting Dennis. Chandler was often cast as Dennis's friend. Chandler looked HOT in blue. It was his best color. However, I think I remember these even more on Leroy--floral prints were SO his style! Basically, whatever guy doll I was playing with as a main cast member, these shorts were featured in his wardrobe!

I enjoy the name, from Indian Car. Some made it to Europe on price, but I don't think they sold very well there. Nearly a million of these were made between 1998 and 2007.
We didn't get any Tata vehicles in North America, except that they own Jaguar and Land Rover.

A new one for me. Japan may make quite a number of average and plain looking cars, but I think they also make some of the very best, the most exclusive and most interesting - no other country does all that. We'd be very bored without them!

PERSONAL FUN FACT: These medical supplies were insanely versatile. In fact, they were the same molds as my Baby Care Center from 1996. I immediately recognized them, after receiving this Vet Center as a Christmas gift in 2004. It was fun having so many Barbie sized medical supplies. We would borrow the medicine cabinets from various sets, like this one, and stock them with a supply of medicines and medical implements. These would be stored in our dolly bathrooms...for added realism. Of course, I'm sure I did use these accessories for pets too, but they could be utilized on the dolls themselves. It's not like any of these bottles came with stickers which suggested they were for animals only. Even the baby bottle is a recycled mold. Once again, I favored using this on my Krissy/Barbie baby dolls rather than for the pets. The cat and dog that came with this set are darling. Although I feel bad that the dog is posed in such an inconvenient way. Since he is forever laying down with his belly up, he wasn't as realistic to play with as the cat. Such a shame too, because this pup has the sweetest face!
Took a few shots of my a 2001 Ducati 748R @ The Scottsdale Pavilions car show this weekend. This bike is absolutely incredible and the exposed dry clutch sounds amazing. Bike is fully OEM track spec and looks like it was just taken off the showroom floor.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: This was one of the first Cinderella outfits in my adult collection. I remember the day I found it vividly. It was sometime in early 2011. Dad had taken me and my sister to an indoor flea market we used to frequent. My sister usually bought Harry Potter stuff there. But that day I noted some dolls at another booth. They were dressed, but seemingly on the wrong attire. This Cinderella dress was on a Barbie, but there was a Cindy doll on the same shelf. I recognized the gown immediately. I had wanted this Sparkling Cindy since she was in stores. This is one of my all time favorite Disney collections ever made. I had even been hunting for her on eBay. I assumed that the Cindy doll and the outfit went to one another. I asked the seller if I could swap the dresses, and luckily she obliged. I think it cost about $2 for the Cinderella doll wearing this dress. I quickly deduced that the doll had nothing to do with the ensemble. She had a battery compartment...and turned out to be Flutter Fantasy! But hey, this outfit looked very convincing on her.

PERSONAL FUN FACT written by my sister: Meow! This is a studdly ensemble. I love the little pops of blue. This is the right tux for Chandler (1992 My First Ken) because blue is his color. Of course, my Aladdin doll would look hot in this too. So would any Ken doll actually...I'd have LOVED this as a kid. Sadly, I didn't have this until I was all grown up. We got this in 2011 or 2012 when Shelly bought a bag of doll clothes for some Movie Magic Mary-Kate and Ashley clothes. Sadly, we don't have magic jewel Ken. Our Aidan doll has been wearing this since we got him at a charity yard sale.

DOLLS IN LINE: Barbie; Christie; Teresa
MISSING ITEMS: Medal, balance beam, scoreboard, 2 hoops
PERSONAL FUN FACT: I recall that I got both Super Gymnast Teresa and Barbie's outfits together. They were part of a random lot of doll clothes I acquired as a kid, if I'm not mistaken. I never had much of a fancy for sporty dolls. Gymnasts especially did not intrigue me...no offense American Girl McKenna! However, if I had owned this outfit when I was sevenish years old, it probably would have gotten played with regularly. I had acquired my Flip 'n Dive and Workin' Out Barbies for my sixth birthday, and this ensemble would have been perfect on them. I think that Flip 'n Dive would have worn this better than Workin' Out...but I don't know that it would flatter either of them that well! I do believe that Colleen liked these varsity style jackets. I vaguely remember her playing with them on her Becky dolls, since she made Becky play basketball!

HEAD MOLD: 1990 "Ken rooted hair"
PERSONAL FUN FACT written by my sister: This was one of MANY dolls we got in the "60 doll bin" of 2013. While I'll admit that this Ken isn't one my sister or I would fall in love with if we were Barbie sized, I was ELATED to find him. See, the thing is, we've had his outfit FOREVER so he was sort of iconic to me. I still think it's super cool that we finally got the doll belonging to these awesome threads. Concert Date Ken is iconic to me for another reason as well. I never really thought much of these "boyfriend" dolls before. I call him a "boyfriend doll" because he was made specifically for date night with Barbie. He was sort of the first "boyfriend" Ken I knew about. Also, I find these types of Ken to have a certain novelty to them. Of course, like I said, he's not exactly my idea of a stud muffin and his hair is pretty wild! I find that, in general, painted Kens are a lot more attractive than rotted ones--to me anyways. His face is definitely unusual and unique, but not my standard idea of handsome. His eyebrows are detailed but painted in a very unexpected way. Also, because of his rooted hair, his eyes look almost too small for his face. I can't decide if he looks like a guy from a boy band in the late 90s/early 2000s or if he looks like if a porcupine magically transformed into a man.

July 2001: More than 250.000 people gathered that summer in Genoa. To protest globalization and more in particular the G8 meeting that took place in city of Genoa. The city center was turned into a fortress by Italian police and armed forces: The Red zone. Thousands of protesters tried to get in the red-zone as they thought the G8 meeting is a totalitarian event with no democratic representation at all.
The Italian police and armed forces responded in the most brutal, way with 1 youngster killed as a result.

The Toyota Yaris Verso is a mini MPV produced by Toyota Motor Corporation. In Japan it was called the Fun Cargo. It was replaced in 2004 by the Ractis but continued in many markets until 2005.
Most reviews in the UK, where the car has since been replaced by the Verso-S, have praised the space and the driving characteristics whilst passing adverse comment on the car's appearance.[1] The vehicle earned the nickname of "ice-cream van" in the UK for its boxy appearance and shape.
