20157 heads up a long line of 11 other 20s in the yard at Tinsley on 13th June 1982. The other 20s (in order) were 20176, 20130, 20129, 20008, 20059, 20005, 20212, 20127, 20228, 20098 and 20133. Beyond that, you can just make out 37172, 37215, 37228 & 46028 making up the rest of the line of engines.
A pair of Class 20s take a classic rake of mineral wagons through Cudworth on the Midland Main Line in the summer of 1981. The remains of one of the original down station platforms can be seen on the left (there were two further island platforms to the right as we look). On the far right can be seen the remnants of the former Hull & Barnsley Railway platform, only ever used for goods traffic in its operational life when that company shared this once important location with the Midland Railway.

UBL's imported WDP-4 20005 heads back to the PF-8 side to take some rest till night after bringing in the MAS shatabdi from MYS !!!
For some time, Stanton Gate sidings near Toton were used to store redundant class 20s. 20005 stands in the line awaiting its fate on 07/04/1990.

East Coast Buses 20005 passes Wallyford Park and Ride where no passengers are waiting for this offpeak service into Edinburgh via Musselburgh. The 300 space car park developed by East Lothian Council in 2008, is out of sight to the left. Unlike some of the larger P & R sites, there is no terminal building here. The most frequent bus into Edinburgh is Lothian’s Service 44 which has a daytime frequency of every 10 minutes. Wallyford Park and Ride is also served by train which provides a much quicker ride into the city although for most of the day, the service is only hourly. The railway station is about 300m away.

Class 40 40152 had just uncoupled from the stock for the 07:30 Birmingham to Newcastle, i was on my way to Derby to photograph the Class 20,s on the Derby to Skegness train {20005+20090} . and then onto Nottingham to take a few more pictures . 40152 New Street : Derby 47555 Derby ; Nottingham , 45137 Nottingham : Derby , 47128 ; Derby New Street 22/07/1978.

Platform 3 at Nottingham now plays host to the Sundays 0915 1E28 Derby-Skeg. The service only loads to 11 vehicles compared to the Leicester which had 12 on today, 20084+20005 head seaward on a glorious 11th June 1978.
