Adult bees are nourished with nectar drawn from flowers. Normal movement within or on a flower coats a bee with pollen. Every few minutes, a pollen-flecked bee will groom herself with comb-hairs on her legs, gathering the pollen grains, and compacting them onto her hind legs. This pollen is taken back to the hive to feed bee grubs, before they emerge as adult worker bees.

This year, we dedicated 5 beautiful families: 3 on Howe Drive and 2 on Cherry Street. With a formal ceremony, Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region presented these families their new homes. They all worked so hard to put in their 500 'sweat equity' hours, and in turn, hour by hour, these brave and dedicated families built their homes and conquered their journey and accomplished their DREAMS!

Texas Southmost College held its Spring 2023 Commencement Ceremony 2 on May 13, 2023 at the TSC Jacob Brown Auditorium at 2:30 p.m. This ceremony consisted of TSC graduates from our Divisions of Humanities and STEM, as well as dual enrollment students from Brownsville ISD, Jubilee Academies, Los Fresnos CISD, Point Isabel ISD, and Rio Hondo ISD who earned their associate degree from Texas Southmost College upon graduating high school.

A glorious day on what was the hottest weekend of the year so far.
The only down side to the conditions was that being located on a non hard surfaced site there was a lot of dust being thrown up.
Non the less, plenty to admire and enjoy.

I just bought Madagascar 2 on dvd. Just because of a scene where Alex the lion is a baby. Lools so cute.
Anyway, I wanted to take a self portrait that would show how i've been feeling for the last couple of days.
And it's been a failure. All the pics are blurry, the idea was dumb, the light was poor. Yuck !

On January 3, the Chinese Chang'e-4 spacecraft made the first successful landing on the Moon's farside. Taken by a camera on board the lander, this image is from the landing site inside Von Karman crater. It shows the desksized, six-wheeled Yutu 2 (Jade Rabbit 2) rover as it rolled down lander ramps and across the surface near local sunrise and the start of the two week long lunar day. Ripe for exploration, Von Karman crater itself is 186 kilometers in diameter. It lies within the Moon's old and deep South Pole-Aitken impact basin with some of the most ancient and least understood lunar terrains. To bridge communications from the normally hidden hemisphere of the Moon, China launched a relay satellite, Queqiao, in May of 2018 in to an orbit beyond the lunar farside. via NASA go.nasa.gov/2QlqLgA
