Dolls in photo, from left to right:
-Girl of Today #2 "Amber"
-Girl of Today #13 "Raymona"
-Girl of Today #16 "Valerie"
If you are just looking at stock images of these three dolls, it can be confusing to identify a secondhand Girl of Today. However, I was lucky enough to get Amber, #2 (on far left), and Valerie, #16 (on far right) brand new. Amber's skin is described as "medium," which might be confusing to someone who doesn't have her in person. But as you can see in this comparison photo, it's definitely darker than the average doll (she's not Caucasian, but not the same shade as say Addy). Her dark hair and eyes make her easy to confuse with #16, but the skin is a dead giveaway. I should note that Amber was purchased in 2002 and is a full Mattel stock doll. That's why she carries a bit differently and is thinner than the other two gals. But I've seen Pleasant Company versions of her, and their skin tone is the same. The others are both Pleasant Company stock--Valerie was purchased in February 2000 (Mattel took over in fall 1998). However, she clearly utilizes all Pleasant Company parts. As for #13, I got her secondhand for Christmas. She was wearing the 1995 "Meet" outfit, but who knows if that was truly hers. Either way, she's Pleasant Company, so she's a great comparison to #16. When I first unwrapped her, something told me she wasn't a #16. Her hair seemed lighter, but it wasn't until I got home that I concluded the difference. It's MUCH lighter, but if you didn't have one of the dolls already, it might be tricky to identify them. The best way I can describe it is that #13 has the same light brown wig as Molly. #16 is Samantha's doppelganger--she has the same dark brown hair and eyes (just without the special decal feature). As for the slight difference in torso colors...I think that's just how they aged. Valerie was quite played with and hadn't been washed in a while. Raymona (#13) was freshly back from a day at the spa in this photo and was barely played with from what I could tell.

on Dennis Basford’srailsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’
The PSV Circle (of which I have been a member for some years) aims to hold an Annual General Meeting in a different location in the UK every year.
Usually held at a weekend, they also include visits to operators and other bus related venues for the attending members to visit and enjoy.
This year, the location being in the North West of England centred on the Holiday Inn Express, Preston.
Friend Peter Rose joined me for what turned out to be a sometimes wet, but very enjoyable weekend.
As we have done before, we have combined all the images we have gathered.

The Institute for stained glass in Canada has documented the stained glass at the RCMP Museum Chapel.[2] On each side of the altar is a stained glass memorial window, each portrays a member of the force. On the left is a constable in mourning; on the right is a trumpeter sounding reveille. The model for the windows was Constable Roy Fraser of Westville, Nova Scotia in 1943. Fraser retired in the fall of 1978. The Memorial Project came about following the shooting of Constable Willis Edward Rhodeniser on the White Bear Reserve near Carlyle, Saskatchewan on August 26, 1939. Two more stained glass memorial windows on each side wall near the front were dedicated on November 4, 1951. "The Resurrection" in the west window honours serving members and "The Nativity" in the east window honours ex-members of the force who gave their lives in World War II.
The chapel is one of the oldest Anglican houses of worship in the Northwest.
