A possible Take A Class With Dave and Dave submission for Week 20, Assignment 2.
Spheres - This one is going to be difficult. It probably won't be too hard to find something spherical to photograph, but your job is to somehow make it interesting. No points for cleverness...the thing you photograph should actually LOOK like a sphere in the photo (i.e. don't shoot the ground and say the Earth is a sphere; don't shoot the sun or the moon which look like circles). Also, no eyeballs.
I took Savanah out today to get some shots of bubbles for my Sphere assignment. Not sure if I'm going to go with bubbles for spheres but they were my first thought when I read the assignment, plus, she loves bubbles and we have such fun with them.
I’ve had such mixed results with this roll of Kodak Vision 3 processed in ECN-2. I’m not even sure I enjoy what it’s doing. I’ll keep plugging away at it, of course. But the results are a bit strange (and only a bit – there’s no wacky color shifts or anything like that). Most of the photos just seem a touch off. I do like this one though. I enjoy how pointlessly low I shot it from. I don’t remember doing that.

As it's the eve of the release of Portal 2, I thought I should get around to this (probably unoriginal) shot I've been meaning to take.

I returned to this particulyrily nice spot on my way back to the car, maybe 2 hours later, so the light changed.The sun was reflecting right from the little "pond" and a lot of glare was there that I could make use of with a softener. For me this effect looks somewhat more realistic than a "plan" photo.
Anita tagged me and so I thought I would go and give this a shot ^_^
1. Though I am actully turning 21 in two weeks, nobody believes it. At the theters they ask me my age a lot, I never think to tell them 13 and get in cheaper. Mostly people think I am 15, my younger sister is often seen as the older.
2. I hate cooking, I am horrible at it. I find it boring and time consuming and I really am bad at it. Everyone says I have to learn because I will be moving out soon but seriously I can not cook!
3. I really wanna write a novel, I am a very artsy person. I love writing but can never finnish anything, I always get self consiouse or distracted. Maybe one day.
4. I am a book fanatic!! I love reading, everything and anything. I talk while I read as well, makes sounds, scream at the book, hide it. I get so into it is kind of embaressing. BUT I love the worlds books bring me into. I have 4 book shelves in my room, and still not enough room for every book I have. When I have my own house I am converting one room into a library/study/writing room. Wall to wall shelves for books!
5. I have a lot of Welsh in me, and since I was little I always wanted to go. The dream has never left me, I want to go to wales more then anything it is as if it is calling to me. I just wanna go and walk and walk and walk, take pictures and walk some more. I wanna see there land and there culture and I just dream of how beautiful it is.
6. I cosplay. As in dress up in costumes and go to conventions, it is actully really fun. I was an Anime nerd for most my highschool days, and still love it but prefer manga because the art.
7. I am deathly afraid of insects, butterflies included. The only two things that I am alright with are ladybugs and crickets and even then it is iffy. Spiders are anywhere near me I scream like the devil is on my heels and run away.
8. I am the shyest person around strangers, and then once you get to know me I wont shut up. I can talk fast and loud and I sound like a 13 year old girl. I hate my voice, everytime I hear it on the intercom at work I cringe.
9. I love animals, more then anything. I would do anything for my animals and Cody is one of the reasons I am no longer a hermit always alone in my house. I wanted to be a vet when younger, but I suck at science. I also want to own a shelter, one day I plan on going to the shelter and taking the most unwanted dog there.
10. Die hard romantic!!! I am into all that gushy, mushy, awwwwww moments. I want a prince charming and fairy tale ending.
I searched about the Yahoo Web Hosting Error in google, and found Marty Weintraub has the same problem like me. He blogged this problem at aimClear:

"We were surprised to find that any debilitating issue could take 2-3 days to solve", Marty Weintraub said. Yeah, I'm agree with his word, it's too long to wait. That's surprising for me, how long time it is!
But I can not do anything except waitting, because it isn't the Wordpress or PHP's error, it's Yahoo Web Hosting's error!
Why I'm sure this is Yahoo's error? There are steps I tried:
1. I tested the blog with the WordPress default theme. It cannot work fine, So I'm sure there is no problem in the wordpress' theme.
2. I tried to visiting this blog in proxy server, it also cannot work. So, no problem in my computer or browser.
3. I worte a simple test codes just including phpinfo() function, the problem still appearing. But there is no problem in html or perl files.
4. The problem is not appearing every time, it worked for a few times, but most times are reverted to the server error.
I analyticed the logs, this problem has last more than two days. So I called Yahoo's service, but no ones pick up the phone :(
I don't know why, I can blogging in writetomyblog still, but the blog's feed cannot work? In another word, xmlrpc.php working, the other functions not working?

1. The space in the composition is fairly deep. The building is set back and the shadow that it casts comes to the front edge of the picture.
2. I don't see any movement in the picture, it is based around a building.
3. I think the heaviest shape is the tallest tower and it's shadow. I think it does match the importance, it's the most significant shape in both this and the original piece. It's the most recognizable and contrasting shape with clear/sharp edges.
4. I think the negative space really helps the viewer focus on the main shapes. I think it may be subtle but it really brings together the composition.

Here is my first shot, no pun intended, using Tasma NK-2. I was doing a FvF, film vs film comparison pf Svema 100 vs Tasma NK-2. both 100 speed. I used the same lenses, filters and the two rolls processed in the same tank. Yes there can be a variables in the camera bodies, I used an Olympus OM1n and OM2n, but I didn't seem to have any issues. The exposures were normal but the color response was different.

I finally got to see the gorgeous and wonderful Julia Takemura this weekend. She brought me noodles and her beautiful presence. It was so refreshing, especially as this last week has been a rough one friendship-wise for me. With a few bridges burning in the distance, it was good to be reminded of the few people who I know will always be there for me, and who understand me more than anyone else. Hanging out with her and Digg made me feel like I was on top of the world, and it was a wonderful, adventurous, fun-filled and creatively productive weekend.
We did this in an impromptu mini-shoot that took about 15 minutes. Thanks go to Digg for being our tripod.
I dearly missed her and making art with her. Let's make it happen again soon, yah? ;)

1. I like to run. I have too much energy for my own good so I started marathon running and so far that’s been doing me well.

5. It drives me mental when people print things unnecessarily, like emails. Printers are for things like recipes (unless you have a saran-wrap covered computer in the kitchen or something) or directions/map (if you’re without a GPS/PDA).
6. I go to the local pub at least once a week... setting myself up to be one of those old dudes who goes to the pub for breakfast on Sundays and doesn’t leave ‘til the match is done.
7. I once threw my shoe at a raccoon. True story.
8. I can’t concentrate when I’m too hot. If it’s too hot at work I might as well go home because I won’t get anything done there and it’s a nice 19 degrees here.
9. It confuses me when people tape flowers and wreaths to telephone poles because their loved ones died near them on the road. If I die in a car accident, plant a tree in a nice garden and think about me there not by the side of a highway with trucks chugging by.
10. If you didn’t have to pay a mortgage you could get by on very little cash.
11. Don’t ask me, ask Google. It doesn’t get irritated or snippy with you when you ask a stupid question. Just don’t type google into Google...

1) Beside the music, which other arts do you really love?
I love films and videos, i ,love drawing, painting, photography, fashion, dance, i studied metal arts in school.
2) I like your music videos(My house, Creature, for example) , do you participate in the creation of these or delegate on the director?
Yes, i got to participate a lot. I think it was a nice video because it was a labor of love. my girlfriend and a bunch of good friends coming together to make it happen and adding each of their talents. i feel really lucky to have such amazing people in my life.
My girlfriend Silvia Prada did the art direction and graphics as well. she worked very closely with Director, Jonathan Turner who did such a super job. i was so lucky to have Jason Farrer styling the video. He hit it better than spot- more than i could have imagined. my best friend Holli Smith did the hair. My friends danced in the video. Tigga Calore, Pta Blair, and Shayne Oliver.
They all added their own talent. it was all a very friends and family vibe. it was a lot of fun!
3)How do you imagine the future of the music industry? The cd would be extinguished? ,will there be only digital versions?, record labels may redefine their role?
I`m scared to imagine....physical formats may be extinguished one day, looks like its headed in that direction fast but i would like to think that vinyl records will always have their place always and forever- but i know thats for only die hard collectors and DJs at this point record labels are already redefining their role. There are no records to sell anymore, less physical formats, and so many people get music for free.
Now days cooperations like like Mountain Dew and Starbucks and car companies are putting out artists. Its all so strange to me. it bums me out.
4) What was the first album you bought?, Which was the latest that you heard and you really like?, both locally and internationally
My first album i bought was Fleetwood Mac, it was a cassette tape. and a song by Pretty Poison called Catch me im Falling. i bought them both the same day.
the first 12" record i ever bought myself was JJ fad, Supersonic.
My latest new album is Azari & iii. i haven't heard a local album too recently but i know that Light Asylum is a really strong album. i think they will go really far.
5)About the new record of Hercules & Love Affair, it can be defined like a new house album ?, why did you choose to make a cover of a classic song as ``it`s alright``?
The new Album has many inspirations and musical influences, i dont think it can be defined in one genre. it definitly includes some house, techno and disco inpsirations, but it also acoustic sounds and ballads, as well as other elements that inspired Andrew Butler.
It was Andrew Butler's decision to choose "Its Alright". Many people think it was a Pet Shop Boys song . But they actually covered it. The original is classic house anthem by Sterling Void & Paris Brightledge in 1987. Its a song that was always played at raves and parties back in the day. It was usually played at the end of the night a lot, an epic end to a great party, with a hopeful and emotional message to be heard... the world has lots of messed things in the world, but music is the one thing that will always be there. Andy also has a very personal story attached to that song.
6) Hercules love & affair are coming to argentina in october 5th, what can you tell me about the show ?

Wow. I got tagged by a whole bunch of people. And I figure that with the folks who tagged me and the general dolly overlap . . . tagging back is sort of pointless. Cause it would be the same people all over again. So if you are reading this and you AREN'T one of the folks who tagged ME . . . consider yourself tagged. 1) I have NEVER owned a drivers license. I do not drive at all.
2) I am a nearly obsessive crafter; I don't sit still well.
3) I have a strange obsession with stickers. I love them.
4) Same with stupid gumball machine toys. I can't help myself!
5) I have two dogs, Buddy and Holly.
6) Most of the foods I have named my dolls/toys after are ones I really dislike (Watermelon, Honeydew, Celery, Oatmeal)
7) One year, I knit 100 pairs of baby socks for a contest.
8) I met my husband on the interwebz! (Which should be a strong warning for you all)
9) I adore video games, but I am horrible at them. RPGs are the best, because they require less thumb agility.
10) I am teaching myself to spin!
11) I also taught myself to knit . . . but when I was 10 years old.
12) I didn't even TASTE beer until I was 25. I like it now, but only good stuff.
13) I am exceedingly bad at girly stuff. I live out my girly fantasies through the dolls. I don't own a dress, but my girls rarely wear anything else (except Quinn).
14) I don't own a watch. People give them to me, but I break them fast.
15) I don't own a cell phone. I get nervous just touching the new ones, they seems so fragile!
16) I rarely watch TV; I've probably never seen your favorite show! I love Heroes and Mythbusters though!

I was tagged by Blablette. Well, first time I make this kind of thing. It was pretty long, but fun. :P
1. I am a student in materials sciences.
2. I draw since I am really young. When I was little, my mother bathed us at 17h00 and then put us in front of a big pen box with paper. Every day.
3. I looooove waffles.
4. I play the flute in an amateur orchestra but it's really fun.
5. I don't like salads in general, but I plan to taste all the fishes in the world (except whales and sharks maybe... -_-).
6. I like BJDs since two years, but I like to make them even more.
7. I am not a very sociable person. I am shy and unable to discuss very long with someone who doesn't share any of my interests.
8. As a respected materials student, my favorite hobby beside art is to break things with big machines.
9. I procastinate very often.
10. I only came back to art since 2008. I had lost the interest when I was in junior high.
11. I am gonna make a field trip in July with my pals from university in Japan!
12. The bunch of drawings you see in the picture is only a half of what I made in three years. The rest I gave away or don't like it any more or is not finished.
13. I don't sell bookmarks at my boot in Japan conventions but I make new one every years, so I can give them away afterward.
14. I am definitively attempting resin cast this summer.
15. When I am on a project, I am like a cave woman: I foget to make my hair and sometime to eat.
16. I have two sisters. Most of the time, they are a pain, but sometimes we can get along very well.
17. I love manga, and especially anime. Yes. I'm such a kid.
18. I want to read Da Vinci code since its release, but still haven't.
19. I wish I would work soon.
20. I don't like to swim, and water things in general. I am not comfortable with water (except hot bathes :P).
