I dragged my family to Biosphere 2. We took a tour inside and under the glass! They thought it was cool. The beautiful trail system takes you on a tour of the tropical savanna, million-gallon ocean and its real coral reef, coastal fog desert, the basement technosphere, the opened tropical rainforest which contains over 150 different species of plants, the upper Biomes, and into the amazing lungs that help the Biosphere system breathe. Amazing!
Current active research in Biosphere 2 includes: Hillslope Modeling, Plant Mortality, Vegetation Change Impacts on Water, and Carbon-Water Nexus. In combination with the University of Arizona, B2 Earthscience is building a program to bridge the gap between laboratory- and field-scale studies, by utilizing the unique infrastructure of the Biosphere 2.
The 4-H Western Horse Shows at the Lancaster County Super Fair include numerous "in hand" (horse is led, not ridden) and riding classes. Stock horses are typically used. Horse and rider must be in western tack and attire.

My friend's farm sits high atop this hill overlooking the Iowa farmland in the distance. He has erected a grouping of 3 huge crosses that he illuminates at night and can be seen for miles around from this spot. My Canon PowerShot doesn't allow me to attach lenses, but I read up on some points to include for a successful wide angle landscape shot-1. Shoot aiming the camera slightly downward on an interesting foreground, 2. include a foreground, middle ground and a far distant background, 3. Aim for clarity in all areas, 4. provide a leading path or line into the photo, 6. include an interesting sky with clouds. I tried to compose my photo to incorporate as many of these items as possible when shooting this vista.

IKEA project 2 includes this small HOL side table that fits next to the Poang chair and will provide an extra storage place as well as a spot for my beverage while I read. I may end up needing a small lamp as the ceiling lamp is limited to 60 watts which I wish I could bump up. Alas, no can do.
