This photo satisfies requirement 3 (background blur). The photo was taken in low light, so even at a relatively high ISO the aperture had to be opened to f/3.2, making it a challenge not only to track the subject laterally but also to keep it at a consistent depth so as to maintain a clear focus. A shutter speed of 1/13 seconds was sufficient to capture the motion blur—any slower made it nearly impossible to track the subject, and any faster made the blur less pronounced. No post-processing adjustments were made to the photo.
Just a quick ICM shot of the sunset across the river this evening - I really like the impressionistic effect this technique gives. Apologies for not commenting much the last few days - internet is still down at home - grrr!
3 good things:
1) The days getting longer again - long term followers of mine will know how much I hate the short nights of winter, so more light makes for a happy Katharine
2) Making bread - I used to make a lot of bread but have got out the habit of it, but my kitchen now smells very nicely of raisin and walnut loaf
3) Black Books - I haven't watched it in ages but have got through the whole of series 2 this weekend - if you want to laugh until your sides hurt then www.youtube.com/verify_age?next_url=/watch%3Fv%3DhN4FhBo5b9o is for you :)
And - moving on to the next Xmas Shoppe in my ornamental street - tonight I am making 'dirty windows'! I got a tip from a modelling forum, instead of using PVA to make the milky windows simply cut up an old milk carton! [Power tip: Wash it out first! LOL]
Theme ideas
My Involvement:
1. Providing theme ideas for the interiors
2. Making sketches for the same

The pulley's reduce the strength necessary to life the ring by 1/2, making it easy to lift it to the correct height. Once the ring is higher, I walk out the legs of the hoist to improve stability. Once the ring is at the correct height, the legs are expanded again to help hold it in place through tension, and the rope is tied off to secure the ring.
Here we see number 2 making its way back to the Soller Railway station. Having worked the service from Port Soller.
Vinyl is an invaluable material for giving learners experience with the fabrication process - both digital and physical. There is tool use and technique, digital design skills that can go from beginner to much more advanced levels, a wide variety of color choices for customization and personalization, and the overall joy one feels when the put a sticker they made on something! More importantly, vinyl is a great way to get a lot of laps with tinkering and iteration - meaning, its a great way to learn. This workshop will give participants a chance to "learn by doing” through the creation of a scaffolded set vinyl sticker projects, but will also have a heavy emphasize the maker-centered learning practices and constructivist pedagogies necessary to make creating with vinyl - or any material for that matter - a success in their own classrooms.
Conducted at the Pittsburgh FAB Institute, hosted by the Elizabeth Forward School District in Pittsburgh, PA in June 2019.

Surprisingly, both pots of basil fared better than the mint, even though we cut the basil almost down to the dirt before we left.
RTD process: How much time is required to resume driving after a failed drug test?
If a truck driver is tested positive or refused the drug and alcohol test, a complete RTD process is observed to get back the driver to the safety-sensitive work.
RTD stands for?
RTD stands for Return-to-Duty process which includes a complete procedure to get back to the road after a violation of drug.
gomdnow.com/return-to-duty-process
When should a driver start Return-to-duty process?
1.After violation of drug and alcohol rules
2.Refusing the test (for whatever reason behind)
3.Positive alcohol and drug test
What is SAP?
According to FMSCA, “The Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) is a person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.”
What is DOT SAP process?
SAP is a qualified mental health service professional who designs a series of processes that must be followed to be eligible for continuing work after violation of drugs. Following are the steps included in SAP process:
1.Determining the duration of drug and alcohol abuse.
2.Making a return to duty program
3.Deciding how many follow-up tests will be required per year.
How long is the duration of RTD process?
It solely depends upon the violation. Sometimes it takes a few weeks and sometimes it’s the duration is extended to 5 years.
What is the estimated time for each step of RTD process?
Following is the very general overview of the time allotted to the RTD process according to FMSCA guidelines:
1.After 2-3 days of being tested positive, the reports are sent to MRO (Medical Review Officer)
2.Within 24-48 hours MRO reports the Clearing House meanwhile sharing it with the employer as well and the driver is removed immediately from safety-sensitive work.
3.The driver is informed to observe RTD process to get back to the work.
4.Driver must be evaluated by the SAP(Substance Abuse Professional)
5.Maximum 1-3 days to arrange a SAP, after receiving the notification of testing positive. Yet it totally depends on the driver and employer how immediate they can arrange SAP.
6.1 week to 1-month duration is required to cover SAP’s initial evaluation after a face-to-face meet-up.
7.After SAP evaluation, SAP itself determines how long will SAP treatment program to take place.
8.Releasing from SAP treatment requires 1-3 days after the treatment program completion, after that, a release letter is issued declaring the driver is eligible to continue work.
9.Return-to-duty test is observed under direct observation by a lab assistant.
10.1-3 days after being tested negative for Return-to-duty test, a negative report is sent to the FMSCA clearinghouse.
11.Follow up random drug tests for 1-5 years after returning to duty.
12.After a negative follow-up test, the driver is officially DOT-compliant.
What if I skip the Return-to-Duty process?
By skipping the Return to Duty process the driver will destroy his career as he may not be able to continue without being eligible.
