I have been building small houses to get an Idea of how the town layout will connect to the Islands' geography.
As expected modifications are needed.
There's actually nothing left of the old
Module 19. I basically just built a new one.
The base needed to be a lot higher (around 8 bricks high now). Also the Islands' smooth coastline will evolve into a rough one with more reliëf and capes.
This power car was the one written off in the horrific fatal crash near Carmont three months later on 12-8-19.
I was in Aberdeen that morning and experienced the freak downpour first hand that was the catalyst for the crash.
I was sadly the very last driver to see Aberdeen based driver Brett alive as I arrived into the adjacent platform five with 5E11 (800105) about five minutes before he departed with 43030+43140 forming 1T08 06-38 to Glasgow.
Of all the thousands of waves given to other drivers since 1985 this one will probably forever remain the most poignant for me.
I got to know Don ,the conductor who was tragically killed ,quite well . He was a salt of the earth railwayman. RIP to all three lost on that dark day for the railway.
April 3, 2020 - MADAGASCAR. With Madagascar’s health system under strain from the COVID-19 pandemic and schools shuttered for the foreseeable future, the health, education, and overall wellbeing of the Malagasy people are increasingly at risk. So since I was tagged by basically everyone on my contact list , I'm finally doing my 16 Things ;) Only with a twist...ready for it? I'm doing 11 Things. That's right ;)
1. I have an aunt who is a news anchor
(Her News Hour Final is currently ranked #1 in the late local news share in BC). All my BC friends, you may have heard of Tony Parsons. He's not her. But she works with him and also Squire Barnes. She's Jill Krop and she's got her own wikipedia entry. Recently another website shut down, it involved a picture of her from every news broadcast since she began. It was kind of creepy stalkerish. They tracked her hairstyles.
2. I know a real life bank robber
3. One of my friends from middle school got a part as an extra in the movie X-Men Three - The Last Stand. Also, my aunt, Jill Krop played a news reporter in the same movie. Yup, I'm connected to three movie stars (you can see my friend in a still from the movie below - yep that is him commanding paper airplanes to flight) If you are going to watch it again, he is there from exactly 13:39 - 13:46
4. My cousin Esther Hart won the Dutch heat of "Eurovision Song Contest" like the American Idol but dutch. She's pretty famous and also all over youtube. You can see her music video for "One More Night" here . I suggest you watch it. It's...good ;)
5. When I get nervous or stressed I bite the inside of my cheek. I don't mean to, I just do it subconsciously.
6. I did enter University to go into Social work and so far...so good
7. It bothers me when people say "No offense but". If you really don't want to offend me, then don't. I believe that is a phrase that enables the offender to offend you and not feel bad about it. Be more constructive with your feedback please
8. I don't like raisins
9. 30 Rock, The Office, House, Bones, Heroes, and Life (Fox and NBC yep)
10. I suffer from second hand embarrassment like no other
11. It is the 19th anniversary of the day of my birth today :P
Special Shout Outs:
Thank you shout out to Danni! Who remembered my birthday from last year!!
Thank you to Lacey for being the first person to wish me a happy birthday this morning!
And Thank you Narly and baby for the wonderful baby kisses and birthday wishes!! :D
My heart is so warm :)
6 Days & Counting..The Presents Are Wrapped!! :-)
Wishing Everyone A Beautiful Evening!! :-)

Driving home after a visiting a good friend in Nijmegen. A stop-over in the beautiful countryside of the province Gelderland. Halfway on the way back between Nijmegen and Amsterdam near the village of Lunteren...still in the afterglow of my visit.
Location: West of the village of Lunteren. A little old road surrounded by trees as a side path of Postweg. Exit number 3 on the A30 highway (exit 3 "Lunteren").
Coordinates: 52°5'24" N 5°34'58" E
Reason: Just a off-road self portrait in the Dutch countryside on my home after a visit to a good friend in Nijmegen. This place should be about halfway. Nothing more nothing less.
