Today. This is the lobby of Hotel Burnham in the Reliance Building in Chicago by request. The hotel itself opened in 2006, but it was designed to keep in tact the original architecture and interior decoration of the Reliance Building. This was the first skyscraper to have large plate glass windows make up the majority of its surface area.

I made poached chicken breasts for roasted tomatillo enchiladas and the leftover broth looked so good I had to put it in a mug and drink it.

The east side, in contrast, is almostready for glazing and painting!

Kind of breaking my own rule of trying not to post photos of the same type on consecutive days, but today was crazy. A huge storm came through, a tornado touched down, and while watching reports at work, they were saying it was heading right towards our neighborhood. Quite unsettling. Fortunately, as it got close, the storm suddenly changed course and headed North right up towards where I work. That sent the alarms going off and we all had to file into the storm proof stairwells and just hunker down for 20 minutes or so as the storm passed over, but with no more rotation.

Once I got home, I saw that our area had survived untouched, except for more rain. I saw these droplets on the leaves and they were glittering like diamonds in the patch of sun that had opened in the clouds. Couldn't pass it up.

More rain expected tomorrow. Fingers crossed it is not as severe.

The bolection, or window mouldings, have been trial fitted to the east side of the coach. They won't be finally fitted until the glass has been installed.

I was going to be wicked lazy with today's picture seeings as I have a headache that is mimicking what it would feel like to get stabbed in the eye fifty times. Instead, I got a little ambitious and decided to stare at a light for a bunch of shots... which didn't help the headache. I do like the way it came out, so it was worth it, but I need to remember not to stare DIRECTLY into the light, because it makes looking at the images kind of hard to do without seeing big light bulb-shaped spots everywhere.

My tiredness continues. Wtf? Normally, I'm a great sleeper. I love naps. Everything is wonderful when I'm unconscious and dreaming about whatever wacked out things happen to enter my mind. However, it's getting to the point where it's a little rediculous. I went to bed at 9 last night, woke up for work, and it was like I didn't even sleep. I came home, slept for three hours, managed to get to the store and back, and now I'm ready for bed again. I am starting to wonder what's going on. Mono maybe? Thankfully no sore throats going on up in here, so I'm just going to assume that I'm still making up for my lack of sleep last week. I don't know what else it could be.

Ok, I'm going to stop rambling and go to bed. Weird, eh?
