Serpiano mit Sicht auf Morcote
Liegt auf einer Höhe von etwa 630 m ü. M. Finate, neben Serpiano eine der beiden Fraktionen von Brusino, liegt 600 Meter nordwestlich von Serpiano. Der Ort ist per Seilbahn vom Ortsteil Terniciolo erreichbar.
Zudem gibt es einen Fussweg vom Gemeindezentrum in Brusino Arsizio, das etwa zwei Kilometer nordöstlich von Serpiano liegt. Weiter existiert eine Fahrstrasse nach Süden, welche von der Buslinie nach Meride genutzt wird. Wikipedia
We fill a friend's bird feeders while they are away and this is what we saw in their carport when we drove up. We have many wild burros in the neighborhood - they are a nuisance.
Another dreary day...looks like winter, sort of feels like winter, so a "wintery" photo seemed appropriate. And technically it IS winter but who's counting :)

El cotxe 175 de Oliveras era un MAN NL202F amb carrosseria Castrosua CS40 City procedent de la EMT de Madrid, a on tenia la calca 7004. Curiosament va entrar en servei amb els laterals de color blanc. Es va utilitzar en una linia que unia la Plaça Espanya amb el recentment obert Ikea de Gran Via 2.

Seit dem Jahr 1848 erschließt die Allgäubahn über die Wertachbrücke den Bahnhof von Kaufbeuren. Und auch heute noch Rollen Züge über dieses interessante Bauwerk. In diesem Jahr heißt es also: 175 Jahre Wertachbrücke Kaufbeuren.
Aktuell wird der IC 2012 "Allgäu" aufgrund von Bauarbeiten an der Illertalbahn über die Allgäubahn umgeleitet. So hat das Licht gerade noch gepasst, als die Doppeltraktion 218 den Fernverkehrszug über die Steinbrücke zieht.

...oder 175 Jahre Ausflugsschifffahrt auf der Donau. Oder 175t Jahre Völkerwanderung. So unglaublich viele Menschen, Stative und Schiffe!
Ich hab die Walhalla nie gemocht, ihre Intention, ihr theutschtümelndes Pathos, ihr klassizistischer Kitsch.
Ich hab auch die Leute nie gemocht, die da - gleich zu welcher Uhrzeit - immer rumhängen, von fetten Amitouristen über alkoholisierte Landeier und Studenten, bis zu Pokemon-Go-Zombies, die wirklich jeden gehypten Scheiß mitmachen. Ich bin immer lieber immer noch ein paar Kilometer weiter geradelt, nach Wiesent und hab mich dann in den Schatten des Nepaltempels an den kühlen Teich gesetzt, hab den Mantras zugehört und öfter ein bisschen geweint, weil mich der Ort so ergriffen hat. Die Walhalla ist das genaue, erschreckende Gegenteil, Stein statt Holz, weltliches statt spirituelles, Lärm staat Ruhe, ein das Ego produzierender Ort, statt einer, an dem man es zu überwinden sucht.
Gestern hab ich mich dann doch dorthin und unter die Menschen begeben und es waren so unglaublich viele! Aber es hat sich gelohnt, weder Regen noch Nebel oder Tau konnten einem das fotografische Vergnügen vereiteln, was eigentlich einem Wunder gleichkommt. Zumindest mit Nebel oder taufeuchter Ausrüstung wäre zu rechnen gewesen. Aber nein....

For 'MacroMondays' theme of 'Games or Game Pieces'
First Choice
We have had this Bagatelle board for over 50 years and when I retrieved it for the theme I found pitted corroded balls and the steel pins rusted. Not a pretty sight! So I removed all 170 pins and replaced them with their brass equivalent. Three balls were taken from an unmade 'roller coaster' kit. Not sure where I will get 16 new roller bearings to replace the old balls!
So there you have it - a cleaned Bagatelle board with 2 balls in the 70 scoring pocket, and one ball in the 35. Total 175 !
