In fairly worn green & yellow, ČD no. 163.062 arrives at Lovosice with R 684 "Labe", the 14:51 semi-fast service from Praha hl.n. to Děčín hl.n.
Our first fit of 428 refurbished dashboard. I have installed the demisters and some of the piping. The binnacle housing has also been dropped in place. This gave Brian an opportunity to test run some of his wiring cutting it to size and tying it together. Fitting the dash is now a priority as we need to get the wiring in to allow me to complete the bodywork which covers it all.

I had a truly wonderful weekend. Despite the ever-threatening rain of the season, nature really turned out for whatever it was we set out to do. Saturday was the annual company picnic, where I got acquainted with "The Man" sauce for some BBQ and mingled with co-workers and their friends and family.
Luckily, Frances was able to manage getting the day off after pulling a few strings. She seemed to have had a good time and I was really glad she was able to join me. This is before mentioning how great the people I work with are, so needless to say being part of those worlds colliding was a good time for everyone involved.
Bryan is here now, having arrived Saturday. Bryan, Frances, Jordan, Victoria and I ventured to Brown Bag Cafe in Kirkland this morning to get breakfast. Per usual, I was unable to finish my meal; I am but a mere shell of my former self. Aside from that Frances and I took it easy: took a much-needed nap; watched some Samurai Champloo; had some delicious Chinese food for dinner; bought wine, Bombpops, Lik-m-aid Fun Dips and ended the evening together approaching the end of the Samurai Champloo series.
