Valentine's Day is a day of love,
For showing that we care,
And if we read the Bible,
God describes love there:
If we speak like celestial angels
From heaven up above,
All our words mean nothing
If we don’t have Christian love.
Love is patient, love is kind;
It doesn’t brag or boast;
Love conquers pride and envy;
It is never self-engrossed.
Love is not rude or angry;
Forgiveness counters wrong;
Love stays away from evil;
It sings a truthful song.
Love is full of trust and hope;
It always perseveres;
Love never fails; It’s faithful;
To the Bible it adheres.
And if you give this kind of love

As with the previous “SitzBank” campaigns, private individuals, companies and associations were invited to buy bench “blanks” – raw workpieces – from which they would produce a finished bench. With each participating organization and individual responsible for the design of their own bench, the range of finished products runs the gamut from benches that were thoroughly re-sawn and decorated to others that were simply painted in imaginative or clever ways. On a walk through the city, viewers will truly marvel at the huge variety of designs. If you want to admire the benches as well, these works of art will still be on display in Schaffhausen until the end of October. Afterwards, the benches will all be auctioned for charity.
found out today another one of my friends is leaving the office. totally bummed that he won't be around, he's a great coworker. another one off to a new adventure.
I think I may be just a bit jealous....
anywhoo, playing around with this wig again and thought I'd really blow out the editing. it's not the best alinged photo but I still really like it and it shows those crazy bangs so well.
I had a blast editing this and pretty much just had to stop and leave it be. it's hard to pull the plug when you decide to let it go, ya know? ;-)

I'm a huge fan of the number thirteen. I had this ring of thirteen #3 angle connectors (yeah, it stresses the parts; no, I don't care :P) that I was thinking of maybe turning into some kind of display for thirteen minifigs. Then, on a totally unrelated quest to find a new, interesting use for those thornax launcher bits, I had the idea to stick them in this ring. Lo and behold, the gap in the centre is a perfect fit for the zamor balls. This is unbelievably lucky, because my original idea with the ring of thirteen was to try to get this exact effect. I gave up when I couldn't get the centre to be centred. So now I've got my esoteric thirteen-around-one symbol and an awesome spiral-within-a-spiral! ^_^

13 different lightning strike photos from last night. Combined in CS4, auto align (both horz & vertical at different focal lengths) smart object, maximize, and this was the result of the experiment.
