Today I had like less than four hours of sleep, so this time there won't be ramblings: I need going to bed >.< Plus, I spent all the day in front of the computer designing and coding and my eyes are red and hurting. But I am glad I did: I needed to practise a little, and fighting with a contact form and all the input and textarea classes has been a good way to do it.
I took this during the only hour I have been outside home. Not too interesting, but it is better than nothing.
#38: I was eaten alive by mosquitos while taking this.

Tried to get rid of the fence but it's not going. That serves me right for being too lazy to get out the car and get a better shot! (in my defense, i had two sleeping boys in the back and didn't want to wake them)
I AM SO FLIPPING HAPPY TO SAY this is part of a collaboration with Shelby Robinson, my inspiration and wonderful friend. Check hers out here!
Our collab theme is basically pictures based off songs covered by Birdy, because we LOVE Birdy and we chose to do The xx's 'Shelter' first. The lyrics are below, interpret as you wish. The song really hits home for me and affects me quite deeply, so I hope you all enjoy this and know where your shelter is, too. (:
I find shelter in this way
Under cover, hide away
Can you hear when I say
I have never felt this way
Maybe I had said something that was wrong
Can I make it better with the lights turned on
Maybe I had said something that was wrong
Can I make it better with the lights turned on
100 Pictures ~ #13 ~ Dark ~
An early morning shot at Lake Logan in the Hocking Hills region of Ohio. I went hoping for some nice sunrise shots over the lake...that wasn't to be. This was taken shortly after sunrise under cloudy dark skies.

Nothing could be compared to my feelings while shooting under strong rain... It is wet, shivery and cold. But it is like flying or being washed out of all your past and present... Looks like i am in poetic mood this Monday:-)
I've done quite a few of such photos before, but each time i cannot pass by. Probably will make a little project out if them...
Wish you good week!
This picture is #13 in my 4th round of the 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page
Getting towards the end of the day, Pete and I were looking for somewhere to have a last drink or two before his train back to Nottingham. I saw Leva here sitting down relaxing and it was obvious she was on a break from work. I thought she looked cool and there was a great street nearby to use for a background. I knew straight away that if I asked her, what her objection would be. And I had a plan. So I asked her for a picture and her predictable response was... "but I have a cold sore" to which I replied "but I have Photoshop" to which she replied with "oK let's go then". I get the whole anti Photoshop sentiment because it IS overused, but I also have met a lot of people who don't argue when I offer to use it to help them out a little. Don't get me wrong, I don't change the shape of people, though I could. I don't change their structure but I do clean up a few non permanent bits here and there, like spots or a cold sore.
So Leva set about striking a pose for me and she did a great job. Thanks Leva, hope you enjoyed this as much as I did!
This is the last of my street portraits from the session with Peter. I'm looking forward to getting out again as soon as I can, but next time I want to play with lights, big lights!!

Yep, that's the ball at the top of the frame... And that's what her eyes look like whenever there's the hint of a game of ball!
