Marvin Tour 2016 - Ricerca di veicoli in Veneto e Friuli

Marvin Tour 2016 - Search for vehicles in Veneto and Friuli

I was going to do this on New Year's Day so it was exactly a year after last year's but ehh..

13 things about me:

1. Pretty much as soon as I turned 17 my life got utterly flipped upside-down and inside out and became almost like the plot of a far-fetched film. I think maybe it's calmed down now...I hope so.

2. Every morning when I wake up, I have to click my toes, fingers, thumbs, wrists and jaw. It even makes me shudder thinking about it!

3. I really rarely watch TV. Maybe one or two hours' worth a week.

4. I would absolutely love to be a newborn photographer.

5. I find the ideas of perception and reality fascinating and can ponder them for hours.

6. Since reading The God Delusion (and having a good think) in October 2008, I became agnostic after being Catholic all my life.

7. If I'm worrying about something a lot it will ALWAYS pop up in my dreams. I hate that.

8. My favourite noise is the clucking of hens. A close second is the sound of heavy rain.

9. It's extremely difficult for me to get bored.

10. I will not kill or hurt any animal unless it might seriously injure someone. I saved a hornet once and several wasps...=/

11. I want nothing more in life than to be wanted by the people I love.

12. I hate the way my hands look. I'd say they're my worst feature.

13. My greatest ambition is to have children.

Suede booties!

por fin he vuelto! Y espero que esta vez sea para cumplir todos los dias.

Tommy - So the report just came in, Dr. Polaris was moved to Stryker's island yesterday.

John - He should've been taken to rehab center or something. He needs help, not captivity.

Tommy - I know what you're saying, but some people are crazy forever, it doesn't matter how much help they get. And it seems professor Don got away with 2 months probation.

I look down, I promised Emerson that Don would serve for his crimes, what a load if shit that turned out to be. As we are discussing Lee walks into the building, sitting down next to me.

Lee - So what's going on? Why'd y'all two call me here?

Tommy - We want to help you learn how to use your… abilities.

John - Training was a big part of me becoming Green Lantern, to become whatever you want to be, you need practice.

Tommy - But when we're training we gotta call you your codename instead of Lee. You can be “Ink Master”.

We both look at him.

Tommy - Too on the nose?

Lee - Listen I appreciate y'all but…

He is cut off by a big crash outside. Me and Tommy look at each other, then slide out if the booth we are in. I clench my fist, causing my ring to form my suit. Lee gets up and follows us as we run outside. A man in a gold suit is standing in the middle of the street.

Tommy - Oh no, John you need to call Hal.

John - What? Why?

Tommy - That's Goldface Hal's first villain.

Lee - We can take this fool.

Keith - I'd love to see you try. Green Lantern, I want your predecessor. You have 24 hours to oblige or people will die.

John - Yeah that's not gonna happen.

I lung forward to strike him in the head.

Tommy - No John don't touch him!

As I'm about to hit him, he catches my fist. My ring creates a life support field as it begins to be engulfed by gold.

Lee - No! Now you really gonna get a smack down.

I see through the gold shell, as Lee creates a snake from his arm. He sends the snake forward but Goldface catches it, turning it gold. He uses it as a rope, swinging Lee through the air into a bench. Tommy finishes rounding up the civilians in the area and begins to lead them out before Goldface stops him.

Keith - I knew I recognised you. You're that pie faced weasel. You were the rat. If I kill you, he'll come runnin’.

Goldface raises his arms and slams the ground, sending a wave of gold energy towards Tommy and the civilians

John - Nooo!

I burst out of the gold, putting a barrier around Tommy and the rest of the civilians just in time before Goldface's ground pound can hurt them.

The gold feeds from my barricade up to my ring causing me to fall. Goldface walks up to me about to grab my face before Tommy hits him in the head with a street sign.

Keith - I think I've had just about enough of this city.

He grabs the sign and hits Tommy with it. He then throws the sign into a building, causing rubble to fall on top of me.

This car competed in what was labelled as a 'Ten Lap Scratch Race in Memory of Sir Henry Seagrave for Vintage Racing Cars which includes the Williams Monaco and allied Trophies' at the Vintage Sports Car Club's meeting at Oulton Park in August 1996. It's the 1925 Bugatti Type 13 of David Marsh which has a 16-valve 4-cylinder inline 1,496cc engine. Five examples of the Type 13 were produced before the First World War and when the war was over Ettore Bugatti prepared the cars for racing. The cars took the first four places in the 1921 Brescia Grand Prix and the Type 13 subsequently became known as the Brescia Bugatti. There was a great demand for the car and its derivations and 2000 were built before production ended in about 1926. After giving details of the other Bugattis in the race the programme of the event says this about David Marsh's car:

'The only 4 cylinder Bugatti amongst all these 8 cylinders is the 1925 1.5 litre Brescia model of David Marsh, the VSCC President.'

The car was eligible for the Williams Monaco Trophy and the programme also says this about that Trophy:

'In 1929, the Anglo-French driver William Grover, who drove under the name of "Williams", won the first Monaco Grand Prix driving a Type 35B Bugatti, and after the last war his wife presented the actual Trophy to the Bugatti Owners' Club, which became the "Williams" Monaco Trophy and from 1976 it has been competed for at VSCC meetings mainly between Type 35B and Type 51 Bugattis and Monza Alfa Romeos, all 2-seater Grand Prix cars.'

The boys had just finished the flooring and wallpaper when a lizard appeared, it seems harmless and adds some character to the bar.

I spent a nice couple of hours in this bar/cafe at the Royal William Yard reading the paper, drawing chandeliers and eating.
