Just as things could not get any more boring, this FedEx MD-11 gave me the shot I had in mind a week ago....
22/07/11 - I took this photo exactly one year ago. On the day of the most gruesome attack ever done on Norwegian soil.
I think the look in the face of the sitting firefighter speaks for itself. It had been a long and horrible day, and you could see that everyone was shaken up by what was going on. At this point of the day, the buildings were sealed off in case of collapse, but they still didn't know if there still were bodies in the ruins.
Coincidences made me end up in the middle of Oslo while this was going on. It was Friday afternoon and most of the other journalists had already gone home, but me and a few other journalists were still at work when the scale of the first attack started to become clear. So some of us went into to Oslo, not knowing how much worse the day should be.
May all the victims rest in peace - we will never forget you!
