Mirfield
Approaching Mirfield from the Huddersfield direction is 9F 2-10-0 92052 of Newton Heath, with a train of coal empties for Healey Mills.
The engine, built in 1955, spent most of its life in the Midlands at Toton, Wellingborough, Saltley, Annesley, Rowsley and Kirkby in Ashfield before transferring to Newton Heath in Octobder 1964. When this depot closed it moved on to its final shed, Carlisle Kingmoor surviving there for just two months, withdrawal coming in August, 1967

I was walking out of Regents Park when I spotted Matilda walking along. The sun was shimmering off of her amazing top which caught my eye and I couldn't miss out on the opportunity.
Matilda is a Londoner and was on her way to visit the British Museum.
Thanks Matilda, I hope you had a great visit.
My intention for this picture was to show her wonderful sense of style and to capture the way the light was working with the colour of her top so I asked her to stand side on to the sun. There were a few tree's to her right which conveniently diffused the light a little without having her completely in shade which worked out OK.

10 things about me
1. I’m really forgetful so I have to write everything down. This means that people think I’m highly organised but actually I’m slightly chaotic. Lists are essential to me. I just need to remember to read them.
2. I love faded grandeur and slightly worn vintage stuff.
3. I teach history, mainly medieval and early modern Scottish.
4. I can’t make it through a one-minute silence to commemorate WWI without welling-up.
5. I always opt for day-trips to the coast but sand seems unnaturally attracted to me.
6. One summer I worked in a jewellery store in New Jersey, mainly piercing ears. It was quite gross.
7. I was vegetarian for about 15 years before deciding to eat fish again. I think that makes me pescatorian.
8. Having gone some time without a visit, I’ve seen four films at the cinema in the last week: Harry Potter (a bit boring really, 2 stars); The Proposal (better than I imagined, 3 stars); The Hangover (really quite funny, 4 stars); The Orphan (great twist, 4 stars).
9. I love heights, especially when I can lean over railings and look straight down.
10. Electrical equipment has a tendency to break when I’m near it. My family joke that I have a magnetic force field around me.

Also, I was tagged to write ten things by Abby so here we go:
1. It's my (16th) birthday soon (on August 10) and i soooo EXCITED! because... i get to see Nikki who I haven't seen in a bagillion years. :D
2. My middle name is Marie. And everyone called me Ann Marie until about seventh grade when I decided "Ann" fit my personality better.
3. I really hate when people are ignorant and judge other people. I also hate when people say they hate a certain type of person and then I worry that I'm that type of person, and maybe I should change.
4. I'm growing my hair out. I'm not a very patient person.
5. I wish I had red hair. But not really, because it doesn't really fit with me. I wish I were a person who could have red hair.
6. If I like something(someone) a lot I get obsessive.
7. I've written an entire story before and I will never let anyone read it. I've also written the beginning of a whole lot of stories. I think I'll just stick with art though. I'm not exactly the best writer.
8. I used to be a really jealous person but I'm kind of over it now.
9. I doubt myself a lot. But then sometimes I don't.
10. I worry about how people I think are amazing probably don't think I am.

Dogs 10 comandments
1)My life only lasts about 10-15 years. So remember any seperation from you will be painful. Remember that before you get me.
2)Give me the time to understand what you want from me.
3)Place your trust in me. That is crucial to my well being.
4)Dont get angry with me for a long period of time or lock me up. You have friends to talk and visit with. Remember all i have is you.
5)Talk to me sometimes. Even though i can't understand your words i can understand the tone of your voice.
6)Be aware of how you treat me. Because i'll never forget.
7)Please don't hit me because all i can do it bite and scratch. And i dont want to do that.
8)Before you scold me for my behavior. Ask whats wrong with me. I might be sick, sad or lonley.
9)Please take care of me when i get old. You will grow old too.
10)Go with me on that diffacult journey. Never say i can't bear to watch or let it happen in your absence. Everything is easier if your there.

Dear friends, today is a special day, as you know, 10-10-10. And to have this day again you have to wait for 100 years, LOL. Flickr wants the members to celebrate this by uploading pictures taken today, i.e. 10-10-10. (and even at 10am today i.e 10-10-10-10)
They have created some groups also to post those images there.
I decided to go for a macro shot as usual and found this cute little (really little. He measures around 2 to 3mm only) spider in my garden. And I wanted to test a 19mm Vivitar prime lens reversed. As there was a breeze it was a very challenging job but managed to get some decent shots. I'm happy with the lens too.
This guy is having a pair of swollen pedipalps. Have fun on 10-10-10 !!!
