I built Calo a dog house underneath a planter off the back door. She loves being outside and is bummed that soon it will be too cold for her to hang outside all day long.
Wonderful Wednesday to you.
At the foot of the new road at Hillend, here is Volvo B9TL / Wright Eclipse Gemini 2, number 1021 (LXZ 5406) with its rear promotional Buy-Plan-Travel slogan, promoting an integrated tram and bus way of purchasing tickets. Not quite an Oyster card yet, but moving forward, somewhere in that direction!
These traffic lights are a very welcome boost on the Biggar Road, for patrons of the Steading bar and restaurant, and also the near by petrol station. Anyone who tries to cross here (on foot or by car) or to join the main carriageway knows how difficult it is, and the red light can help considerably.

What a view! We’re way up high, on the new road leading to the Hillend ski centre, and this is a superb location for us bus photographers. Breathtaking views and so many great opportunities to capture Service 4.
This is a new road, which took nearly two years to complete, leading from the main Biggar Road all the way up to the turning circle and main entrance to what is today called the Midlothian Snowsports Centre.
Lothian's four-figure fleet 1000 to 1050 and 1141 to 1153 are former London Transport Volvo B9TL / Wright Gemini 2's with private registration plates. They are also shorter in length (10.4 metres) compared to LB's usual longer Gemini's of 11 metres.
Volvo B9TL / Wright Eclipse Gemini 2, number 1021 (LXZ 5406) is almost at journey’s end and it really feels invigorating being up here; I am looking forward to blue skies, and in winter the snow will be magic.

1021 passes Newbury racecourse with 1A19 the up Cornish riviera express as the sun dips below the horizon.Another Perutz phot which had l used Kodachrome 64 would have come out better,25 of course being out of the question.Wanted to capture the setting sun to maximum effect and give the loco a bit of silhouette to it plus get the most light, hence the taken from a hole in the ground look.Wish l had taken it slightly later but then l suppose it might be a bit blurred as it wasn't hanging about.
Seen from the footbridge. Western Cavalier was trailing a fair bit of clag in my direction.
I got two other views from this location but think this is the best of them.
