Canon 60D + Cyclop 100/f2

2018 has been a monumental year for superhero films, so I thought what better of a time would it be than count down my top 100 superhero movies of all-time! Now I wanted to make sure I included every Marvel and DC movie I’ve seen on this list, so there are a few “superhero” movies that I have seen, but didn’t make the list. As much as I love some of DC’s animated films, I wanted this list to only contain theatrically released superhero films. One more thing, director’s cuts, no matter how different they are, aren’t roped together with their original film (in case you were wondering why Batman v Superman and Watchmen were so high on the list).

Anyways, here are my 60th-41st favorite superhero films!

41. Unbreakable

42. The Dark Knight Rises

43. V for Vendetta

44. Spider-Man 2

45. The Amazing Spider-Man

46. X-Men Apocalypse

47. Hellboy II: The Golden Army

48. Iron Man 3

49. Iron Man 2

50. Power Rangers

51. The Incredible Hulk

52. Hellboy

53. Batman: The Movie

54. Superman: The Movie

55. Batman

56. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

57. Superman II

58. Thor

59. Blade II

60. X-Men

I'll be uploading these once a day, so stay tuned for tomorrow's 40th-21st favorite superhero films!

This is my first photo to receive 100,000 views on Flickr. It may well be the only one that ever passes that milestone, since my 2nd place finisher (Explored #26, and heavily promoted thereafter) has 56k, and none of the rest are out of the 40s yet. It wasn't Explored. It is optimized for search on relevance, and appears at #23 for "flower" and "flowers". It's also licensed for sale through Flickr. It has been my most-viewed photo almost every day for the last year or so, typically getting about 250 views these days. My daily post gets about 200.

I like it because it has nice color and detail, and because it's beginning to show signs of age. I don't think it is a hundred times better than most of my photos. The Flickr geotag says Hell's Kitchen, but it was actually taken along the path in the SW corner of Bryant Park, behind the New York Public Library, and is placed on the map to an accuracy of better than a meter.

By the way, I notice that flickr has auto tagged this screen shot as having a border. Really annoying.

After a gap of over 4 months I have at last resumed my 100 strangers project and with ML travelled up to Brick Lane to meet-up with other members of the group.

On the way there we stopped at the newly refurbished Christ Church at Spittalfields and as we came out of the church saw at the bottom of the steps Pip and Kato.

So in classic beginners fshion I approach Kato, told him about the project, asked for his photograph and completly forgot to look at any of my camera settings! At least they were so far out that I knew straight away something was wrong and I let Kato carry on queuing for a coffee at the vendor while I sorted myself out.

Kato is a lovely soft-spoken guy who was just out with his partner Pip to meet-up with some friends.

After such a long break in this project to say I was rusty was an understatement but I Kato, and Pip were both very kind, friendly and understanding.

Thank you very much Kato for your time, and participating in this project.

Today was time I got my project moving again. I had been into my local town to post my trusty a100 which had been sold and I was carrying the replacement which I am still learning how to get the best out of. Pop of built in flash.

I found a nice location and waited, and waited and nobody caught my eye as a suitable candidate., it was early and not many people about.

I had already missed one guy I had seen with an amazing beard as I had not really had the time to approach him, so when I saw Cindy I thought go for it (dont forget I'm still only on #2). Cindy had her headphones on and once I caught her up and explained the project she was happy to be part of it.

Cindy is in college studying Law and hopes to eventually have a career in that field. Thanks for being part of my group, and good luck with your studies.

Not as sharp as I would have liked, but the lens was wide open, tamron 17-50 f2.8 I think I'll close it down a little next time.

Zehya Chela

Gabriola Island

When I saw the twinkle in her eye, I knew that I had

a candidate for my project. After I explained the 100 Strangers concept, she enthusiastically agreed to be photographed.

Zehya Chelan is a professional musician, performing artist, and

mother of a your autistic son, who has been her primary focus.

She lives on Gabriola Island.

As a blessing she gave me three hearts, representing body, mind and spirit. Yes, my life has been enriched by this connection.

Today, Anne dressed vibrantly to acknowledge Valentine Day.

She got up early to make heart-shaped scones for her husband.

Met her on the ferry to Nanaimo, off to a hair appointment.

She was easily approachable and was delighted to the idea of participating in the 100 Strangers Project.

73 just wasn't enough.

Zum 100sten Tag mal was anderes. Das Bild relativ easy doch die bearbeitung doch recht gewagt. De Nummer des Bilder sollte eigentlich die 96 sein, zumindest wenn man sich das Bild so anschaut. Aber ads kann man sich nicht immer aussuchen...

[41/100] Auttiesh

We stopped by the skate park today to watch for awhile and I found that I could not resist grabbing my camera for a few shots.

I struck up a conversation with Auttiesh. He grew up in Grand Rapids and has been skating for 17 years, though he lamented that he only gets out to skate now a time or two a week because he has a wife and family. Auttiesh has a skating apparel company called Gold Coast (he is wearing one of the shirts).

Auttiesh agreed to a portrait for the 100 Strangers series and I also took a few of him skating (another shot is in the comments below).
