This is my first time attempting this challenge: October 2014 a month in pictures. Time will tell how I do.
Today is the first anniversary of my first upload to Flickr. At first I thought it was all about the picture. The big picture is really the amazing and fun relationships that we've developed together. I really appreciate the ways you've inspired me with your photography, artwork, poetry and personalities. Thank you for being loyal followers!
Also, I've learned a lot from being here. Before Flickr, I had never heard of TTV, HDR or never even knew bokeh was called bokeh. I learned PS and html before the new millenium, but it wasn't until Flickr that I really got to practice. So I'm thankful for that.
One of the first comments on my stream was a group invite. So that inspired me to start the groups Color Escape and DazzlePix Magic for people to enjoy. That is how I've met so many of you and I thank you for that!
I'm so happy for all the nice, fun and meaningful comments over this past year.
Of course I renewed for another year. Cheers! :-)))

Another shot from my attic series with Alina. This time I wanted to get closer, without too much of the enviroment lit.
Used a 150cm/60" Jinbei octa softbox from above with a grid to prevent spilling the light on the walls.
Additional small amount of light from the front, slightly above the camera in a 60cm/24" softbox.

– With the first picture of the exhibition, I want to represent the psychological confinement that some migrants can experience as they settle in a new country. Some of them have to recreate a whole new life for themselves : a social circle, work, housing, habits…

Arriver dans un nouveau pays veut dire tout recommencer pour beaucoup de migrants : se créer un nouveau cercle d’amis, de connaissances ; retrouver du travail ; retrouver un lieu d’habitation où l’on se sent bien ; retrouver des habitudes ; retrouver une vie…
