The Carnival Magic‘s onboard waterpark is backlit by the rising sun just off the coast of Freeport, Bahamas.
I have taken many photos of the trees down this stretch of road and each time they come out a little different. The combination of stormy sky and the sun going down made for beautiful light and shadows.

The pano is made from three seperate shots and taken about ten minutes after sundown.
It's been a while since I posted a lighthouse photo, and I do have a few more that I feel are worth sharing. This is the Cape Neddick Light, also known as Nubble Light or just the Nubble. Built in 1879, it is located on Nubble island which is just 90 meters off Cape Neddick Point, in Southern Maine. The lighthouse is only 12 meters high but because it sits on top of a steep rocky island, the light is actually 27 meters above sea level. The Nubble is a famous American icon and as such, a picture of it among with pictures from other prominent man made structures (like the Taj Mahal and the Great Wall of China) was carried by the Voyager Spacecraft, should it fall into the hands of intelligent extraterrestrials. Only the lighthouse keeper has access to the island and as you can imagine the small park at the tip of the cape right across from the lighthouse is almost always crowded with people enjoying the view of this beautiful structure and the rugged shoreline.

Pelluco se ubica 4 kms al sur de la ciudad de Puerto Montt. Es un tradicional balneario veraniego muy vistado por sus playas y suave oleaje, si bien el mar es frio la poca pendiente de la orilla de playa permite que el agua de mar este unos grados mas tibia que lo usual para esta parte de Chile. Desde Pelluco se puede ver numerosas islas y la gran bahia del puerto que mira al gran Seno de Reloncavi hito geografico considerado como el inicio de la Patagonia Occidental.

Pelluco is located 4 kms south of Puerto Montt city. It is a traditional summer resort well-known for its beaches and gentle waves, beside the cold sea the shore beach has small slope cause the sea water more warmer than the most in this part of Chile. From Pelluco it can see numerous islands and the harbor bay facing the great Seno de Reloncavi a geographic landmark set as the beginning of the Western Patagonia.
Nothing much to show recently so here is another shot from a trip I took with Steve (Stoates-Findhorn) to Glen Affric back in October.
Loch Beinn a'Mheadhoin served up a beautiful atmosphere, light mist, calm water with an occassional breeze rippling the surface and the early sunshine colouring the clouds.

The last time I was at this spot it was full snow, This time I camped and it was quite warm for april had to strip several layers off on the climb up! The view was quite hazy in the distance! www.glensumnerphotography.com

Durant mes vacances, j’ai apprécié la côte très variée vers mon logement de la rue de la Joie. Je commençais ma balade par un chemin bien aménagé le long d’une belle zone de marnage. Ensuite, après le port, je longeais des rochers très impressionnants. Enfin, à la limite de Saint-Guénolé, je m’arrêtais un moment sur cette superbe plage de sable pour admirer les surfeurs.

My friend and I had hoped to capture a nice sunrise on the icy shores of Lake Ontario today....but with the warmer than usual weather we've had, there was little ice to be found and no beautiful sunrise. Instead we found this dirty patch of ice on the rocks and used our flashlights to do some light painting. Two different lights cast a warm and cool glow which made the one rock look like "gold"

Location: The river Prüm in Irrel in the South Eifel near the Luxembourg border and not far from my home.
Looking for new perspectives today I found this place, where you stand in the water. There I hear then only the sound of water, a true meditation.
Ort: Das Flüsschen Prüm bei Irrel in der Südeifel nahe der luxemburgischen Grenze und nicht weit von meiner Heimat.
Auf der Suche nach neuen Perspektiven habe ich heute diese Stelle gefunden, bei der man auch ins Wasser muss. Dort höre ich dann nur das Rauschen des Wassers, eine wahre Meditation.
