Der Gardasee (italienisch Lago di Garda oder Bènaco), einer der oberitalienischen Seen, ist der größte See Italiens, benannt nach der Gemeinde Garda am Ostufer. Sein antiker Name lautete von etwa 200 v. Chr. bis 800 n. Chr. Lacus benacus. Der Name soll von einer alten Gottheit namens Benacus abstammen.
Malcesine ist eine norditalienische Gemeinde am Ostufer des Gardasees in der Provinz Verona mit 3689 Einwohnern (Stand 31. Dezember 2019).
Malcesine wird häufig als „Perle des Gardasees“ bezeichnet. Mit diesem Begriff werden jedoch oft auch andere Orte wie Riva del Garda oder Limone sul Garda in Verbindung gebracht. Der Ort ist stark vom Tourismus geprägt.

Long Tailed Tit (Aegithalos caudatus) I've been watching a pair of long tailed tits building a nest. They have finished the moss and leaves stage and now they're on to the luxury finishing touches.

Umgestülpter Zuckerhut...
Das Fachwerkgebäude zeichnet sich durch kühne Auskragungen an drei Fassadenfronten aus. Die dadurch sich in der Ansicht nach oben verbreiternde, umgekehrt konische Form soll an einen auf den Kopf gestellten Zuckerhut erinnern. Grund für die ungewöhnliche Bauweise war die Ausnutzung eines kleinen Grundstücks. Das Erdgeschoss des Hauses hat eine Grundfläche von nur 17 m², während das zweite Obergeschoss eine Fläche von 29 m² aufweist.

I think this has to be one of my top three of our morning at Dungeness , I had to maneuver myself around Jan she was near that right hand boat! I use a linear polarizer for this!

Here's my take on the nights festivities at Shiprock in New Mexico. Wayne Pinkston, Sandra Herber, Chris Wrey, Willa Wei, Huibo Hou, and Wenjie Qiao and I, all converged on this formation with some serious intent on one very windy chilly evening.

I always keep a full-size carabiner attached to the handle on My Tamrac Expedition7 camera pack and a mini titanium carabiner attached to the hook on my tripod, and this was one of those rare times that I had to attached my camera pack to my tripod. :)
