Today I met Photographer and Educator Serge Ramelli at El Matador State Beach. I was setup in a spot along the shore working on exposures when he setup up his tripod right next to me and ask "Am I in your composition" The second I heard his voice I knew it was him, I looked him right in the eye and said, "Serge" He said yes. I said Serge Ramelli He said "Yes" Wow!!! The world just keeps getting smaller and smaller. I have seen over 100 of his movies on photography and processing on the internet. Well after the panic subsided, we shared several minutes chatting, He had mentioned that he had been at Laguna Beach previously so I asked him if he's seen the pirates tower at victoria beach. I proceeded to show him a shot of the tower and some other choice spots from LaJolla and CDM. He was kind enough to compliment me on my photography, but then again he might have just been being friendly which is the more likely scenario. :) He is a very nice guy and very charismatic and personable and I took the opportunity to snap a selfie with him. He took my name and said he would check my stuff out. Serge, what your seeing here is a direct result of your video training series. Thanks for producing such a fantastic series of tutorials. :)
You can see Serge's Ramelli's excellent line of products here.
I was setup here hoping that the sun would pop through the clouds at the last minute, but it didn't happen. I'm so glad I ran into Serge Ramelli there or the 2 hour trip would have been in vain. Thanks again Serge it was so nice to meet you. :)
And thank you, for taking the time to visit and as always, your views, comments, faves, and support are greatly appreciated!! Have a great week. :)
If you have any questions about this photo or about photography in general, I will do my best to help, just post a comment or send me a Flickr mail and I will respond as quickly as possible.

Bon week-end ! 😊 Lovely week-end to all of you !
This moody photo is a reflection of the time we spent exploring the Campbell National Park a few while ago. It was wet and windy, and we hardly saw the sun. Still a beautiful area though...
One of the things Wanaka, a town on the South Island of New Zealand, is most famous for is the Wanaka Tree. Basically, it’s a tree that is growing directly out of the lake, seemingly just there with no problem at all. On our trip round the South Island earlier in the year, we visited Wanaka during the middle of a very dull day. No colourful sky, and even the colour of the leaves on the tree was hard to distinguish. I decided to ignore the lack of colour, and focus on the structure of the scene instead. A colourful 'Wanaka Tree' shot will have to wait until another visit...

too early on the most beautiful of days. The sun had melted a hard frost, which was just about to freeze again - it was VERY cold, but so lovely I couldn't resist taking a picture of this lovely scene !
One texture of my own applied, plus a little help from PicMonkey. I so hope you like it.
Many thanks as always for your faves and comments ... this was one of the most beautiful of days for me. I hope you all have loads and loads of beautiful days of your own !

This was taken the other day, and in fact is taken from the same position as the wider shot in my photo stream a couple of days ago. This is taken at 70mm on my 3100 which has a one and a half crop factor (my 810 had the big stopper on it taking the previous image).

Summer on a Caribean Island ? No, November in Northwest Germany. Due to strong winds we cancelled our idea to go hiking in the forests on our peak trail of the Wiehengebirge and took a tour around the Dümmer See, a large sweetwater lake in the Northgerman bassin. Unlikely for November the weather was windy but sunny.
