if you can be someone ?
it's not about you ... it's about me, honey :)
did anyone notice a small cute bud between them ? ... this is the explanation for the title :)
My friend and I had hoped to capture a nice sunrise on the icy shores of Lake Ontario today....but with the warmer than usual weather we've had, there was little ice to be found and no beautiful sunrise. Instead we found this dirty patch of ice on the rocks and used our flashlights to do some light painting. Two different lights cast a warm and cool glow which made the one rock look like "gold"
I used to think of her as 'my tree'
but she's world famous in New Zealand ;-)
Still.. I can't resist spending time with her...
so I'm adding to a small series of images
I've made of her over the years.
More to follow ;-)
Really she's a superstar... for a glimpse of some of the many images of her around: www.google.co.nz/search?q=Lone+Tree+of+Wanaka&client=... :-)
The Service-tree (Sorbus torminalis) is also known as the Chequer-tree due to its small tough fruits that can be eaten after touched by frost. This young tree didn't have fruits yet, but autumnal colours and shape of leaves are spectacular. Primrose Hill Community Woodland. Bath, BANES, England, UK.

The Bank of America Tower soars into the sky, a prominent feature of Downtown Fort Worth's skyline in Texas.
From this point you can see Jostedalsbreen, the largest glacier in mainland Norway. Views like this is hard not to fall in love with.
This is quite a busy intersection. Tsuen Wan Road and Kwai Chung Road run parallel at ground level before they split to different directions. The overpasses on the right belong to three MTR lines: Airport Express, Tsuen Wan Line and Tung Chung Line. In the left background the flyovers to Tsing Kwai Highway. Shot from the footbridge beside the Lai King MTR station.

In 2006, I had two times the opportunity to migrate into the valley of the Havasupai Indians and see this magnificent waterfall and take pictures of course . Unfortunately, destroyed a flood in 2008 a part of the beautiful lime sinter terraces .
This picture was taken around noon at clouds and strong winds . The first hint of autumn lay over the valley . I waited a long time at the only place where you had this view of the waterfall with the terraces in the foreground because of the shrubs and trees .

Taken on my iPhone as I walked down the garden after putting our chickens away the other night. I thought how dramatic the newly emerged Amaryllis leaves looked silhouetted through our orange kitchen window blind HSS!

Korestia is a historic region of Western Macedonia in Greece. It’s a cluster of mountain villages (Ano and Kato Kranionas, Halara, Ano and Kato Melas, Makrochori, Mavrokampos, Agios Antonios, Gavros) exhibiting strong architectural and cultural interest. The traditional architecture of the villages is great for the region of Western Macedonia. Old houses are constructed with handmade bricks with red clay and straw, giving a reddish color to the landscape. The construction of the houses was maintained until the mid-20th century and then abandoned.

Little Round Top is the smaller of two rocky hills south of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania—the companion to the adjacent, taller hill named Big Round Top. It was the site of an unsuccessful assault by Confederate troops against the Union left flank on July 2, 1863, the second day of the Battle of Gettysburg.
Considered by some historians to be the key point in the Union Army's defensive line that day, Little Round Top was defended successfully by the brigade of Col. Strong Vincent. The 20th Maine Volunteer Infantry Regiment, commanded by Col. Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, fought the most famous engagement there, culminating in a dramatic downhill bayonet charge that is one of the most well-known actions at Gettysburg and in the American Civil War.
