The southern seas in aquarium Mare nostrum (Montpellier - FRANCE). With its coral reef and multicolored fishes, the lagoon offers a real rainbow of the seas to the pleasure of the eyes!
Settle in the lagoon with identification cards and play to recognize fishes and other marine animals. Also, the view is amazing into the fishereye window !
Happy Perfect Purple Saturday!
I've brought this in tonight as it's going to be so cold. I'm going to try to overwinter it but don't hold out too much hope. At least I've got a few photos from it!
In the attic of time, where memories reside,
Ancient objects rest, in history's quiet tide,
Endowed with the whispers of stories untold,
They hold the power of the past, within their fold.
Amidst this trove, a red chesterfield couch reclines,
With its deep, scarlet hue, in timeless designs,
Its leather, worn by years, like the pages of a book,
Holds the secrets of muses and dreams it undertook.
As you sink into its cushions, a transformation unfolds,
A mystical journey where inspiration beholds,
For this couch is a portal, a bridge to the sublime,
A muse's invitation, across the bounds of time.
In its warm, velvet embrace, you're transported away,
To an era of elegance, where poets had their say,
As you touch the aged leather, stories unfurl,
You become a living canvas for the muse's twirl.
With each passing moment, you're no longer the same,
For this ancient object stirs the creative flame,
The couch's power, a conduit for your soul's delight,
As it weaves poetic dreams through the mystic night.
The whispers of the past, they guide your pen and rhyme,
As the red chesterfield muse transcends the bounds of time,
So, let its aura enfold you, let inspiration flow,
In the world of ancient objects, let your creativity glow...

A rare trip off the Black Isle took me to Glen Affric, a magnificent wooded glen not far away from me. Here is a large fragment of the Great Wood, an ancient relic of the pinewood that covered the Highlands. It is being restored to it's full natural glory and is just beautiful.
The downside is that it is usually full of visitors. It is perhaps the best known example of natural caledonian pinewood, and it is accessed by a twisty, single track road that can be a nightmare drive with tourists who have no idea about driving on such narrow roads.
I have avoided it for that reason as I like my woodland visits quiet, respectful and tranquil, which is frustratingly impossible when the tourists are about. The lockdown has changed that, although there were a few folk up there it was just stunning and peaceful. The weather was glorious, too!
The bark of the old pines is just so tactile. They feel so solid, so wise and so dignified.
