Greek Cypriot missing persons exhibition, Nicosia, Cyprus (2006). The images in the black frames show Greek Cypriots who were captured by the Turkish army following its invasion of the island in 1974. Those with faces circled were never seen alive again by their families. The faces numbered 2, 3 and 4 are those of Greek Cypriots who surrendered to Turkish forces. Following DNA testing of remains found by the UN-sponsored Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus in 2009 it was discovered that they were executed immediately after the photo was taken and their bodies thrown down a well.

Let's hope that as many Greek and Turkish Cypriots as possible can discover the fate of their loved ones and have some sort of closure to this tragedy.

I am already missing the lovely colors of Fall. This was taken the same day of the "50 mm" challenge that I mentioned a few days ago.

Our special boy is missing. GT does go outside but generally he sticks pretty close to home. He has not been see since Friday morning. He was wearing a (breakaway) collar with a tag and he is microchipped. We have put ads online, posted flyers and have checked our local pound, but so far nothing.
The other troublesome thing is that our neighbor's cat Scratch has been missing since Thursday.
I can't even begin to express how heartbroken we are. :-(
Sometimes limitations are all in your mind. Missing Links visualizes 16 musicians who, despite missing fingers or hands, have overcome their disabilities and continue to make music.
This poster lists which bands the artists are members of (if any), what instruments they play, and how they lost their digits. Also included are two honorable mentions with paralyzed fingers.
I found this tacked on the bulletin board at work this morning. At first, I thought it was hilarious, that maybe a college kid posted it for a joke. Then a coworker told me that she talked with the person who had put it up -- a mother for her 3 yr. old son. He honestly believes A.J. has run away because of the s'mores incident. It is still funny (especially the photo caption), but in a heartbreaking way.

Dental bridges provide an excellent replacement for #missing #teeth. They can function inside your mouth for more than a decade if you take good care of them. The primary function of a dental bridge is to fill the gap of missing teeth to aid chewing as well as prevent surrounding teeth from sliding in.
Now, you may wonder how long a dental bridge may last. Oral healthcare routines and diet plans vary across people with dental bridges, so it is hard to tell precisely about the longevity of a dental bridge.
The lifespan of dental bridges
There are different opinions regarding the lifespans of #dental #bridges. The Cleveland Clinic suggests that dental bridges may last five to seven years. A few types of these bridges may even last ten years. According to the University of Rochester Medical Center, you can enhance the life of a dental bridge beyond ten years by practicing good oral hygiene. Some people have been able to keep their dental bridges for a lifetime this way.
Why might a dental bridge fail?
Fitting a dental bridge usually involves etching of the tooth next to the missing tooth. Although this etching prepares that natural tooth for a supportive role for the dental bridge, it makes that tooth susceptible to several dental problems, including tooth decay, gum disease, and other dental #infections. Such issues may necessitate a root canal procedure. The failure of the supporting tooth can fail the dental bridge.
Preventing failure of dental bridges
Dental bridge failure mostly results from food choices. Eating hard foods can put a lot of pressure on dental bridges, making them more susceptible to fail eventually. According to the Cleveland Clinic, individuals with dental bridges should eat vegetables and fibrous foods to prevent any pressure on their dental bridges. Such foods also benefit dental health in general. Moreover, it will be a bad idea to eat sugary and starchy foods because they can result in the dislodging of any dental restoration. It means that you are going to have to snack less if you want your dental bridge to last for several years.
Caring for dental bridges
To care for your dental bridges, you will need to care for your dental health. It may include specialized care and professional dental cleaning regularly. Good dental and oral habits combined with proper care, both domestic and professional, can increase the lifespan of your dental bridge by several years.
At home, you will need to make sure that you are using the right toothpaste and toothbrush to clean your teeth. You may want to use fluoride-rich toothpaste to keep your tooth enamel hard and well-mineralized.
Flossing is as crucial as brushing your teeth. Flossing is a difficult chore for many people, but once you adapt to a flossing routine, it will become second nature. Alternatively, you can choose a product that would clean your interdental spaces. For instance, using a water flosser is convenient and enjoyable. It doesn’t only dislodge food debris, plaque, and bacteria, but it also washes them away.
You may want to discuss with your Collegeville dentist the best oral hygiene routine that focuses on your dental bridges.

A buddy of mine saw my new-car pictures and asked me to shoot some of his new car. (Like we didn’t see that coming.) He’s an early riser like me so he showed up early enough for the good part of sunrise. He didn’t realize how I like to work a subject but after about 20 times of turning various lights on and off he was getting a clue. I don’t know if he was bored or feeling guilty but he was trying to get me to quit, right when the light got great. “Look, you’re missing your sunrise.” I assured him I was not.

(I miss you miss you)
Hello there the angel from my nightmare
The shadow in backround of the morgue
The unsespecting victim of darkness in the valley
We can live like Jack and Sally if we want
Where you can always find me
And we'll have Halloween on Christmas
And in the night we'll wish this never ends
We'll wish this never end
Where are you and I'm so sorry
I cannot sleep I cannot dream tonight
I need somebody and always
This sick strange darkness comes creeping on so haunting everytime
And as I stared I counted the webs from all the spiders
catching things and eating their insides
Like indecision to call you
And hear your voice of treason
Will you come home and stop this pain tonight
stop this pain tonight
Don't waste your time on me your already the voice inside my head(6x)
I miss you miss you(6x)
One of the park rangers was searching the lake for a missing gentleman. He asked what I was taking the pictures for, and I said he was the most beautiful thing I'd seen all day. I got a smile out of it.

Brisbane was over 30 today and there isn't anything much more mundane than an electric fan. This one is 'On'', as you can see by the buttons. The blades are literally "missing in action."
