Lufthansa Boeing 747-430 D-ABVS Saarland is on short final for runway 25L in Frankfurt.
c/n 28286 (l/n 1109) has had its first flight on 04.04.97 and was delivered to LH on 18.04.97.
The jet is powered by 4x General Electric CF6-80C2B1F turbofans and has a cabin layout with 16x First, 66x Business and 270x Economy Class seats.
This is flight LH457 from Los Angeles (LAX).

Missing all my Flickr friends...We are gradually working our way back home. We are in OK for a couple of days now. I have been thrilled to meet my Flickr friends Diane (texasfires) and Joel (the old Texan).
I lost my best friend, partner in crime, and the guy I had the most fun with ever. Last we spoke he was really ill with covid. We haven't talked in almost a month. My heart knows he's gone but I wish, just wish he might show up again one day. Life is hard. Hugs to anyone who has lost anyone.

Norman was among my first mosaic portrait subjects & only second (after Julia) for JKPP. The pastel, was done posthumously, in his honor. I'm so grateful for having "met" Norman & appreciate all he taught me.

A trilogy of these rather crisply cast yet charmingly crude Summer Hino Dolphin based trucks made their way oop North recently having been discovered in a charity shop recently by Mikaela. Their date coded stickers suggest they were all part of the same set and all are now missing their respective rear bodies. Unbelievably a great many Chinese toy makers have now decided to make their own virtually carbon copies!

I can hardly believe the variety of spiders I've been finding. This is an orb weaver that spins a web with a missing sector.
According to bugguide "Zygiella webs usually have the viscid spiral threads missing from a definite sector between two radii in the upper part of the web, and in this open area a strong signal line extends from the hub to the spider's retreat." bugguide.net/node/view/6774
