Would have liked the coot closer to the camera but also didn't want to lose the lovely pond surroundings & the reflections by focusing in too close so the coot had to stay distant:)
Enjoy a lovely weekend everyone & for those of you struggling with the heat, stay as cool as this coot!

Sunday morning peace and quiet, Priestley Green/Coley in West Yorkshire
That was my first thought when I saw this area couple of years ago for the first time. ;)
Grafelijkheidsduinen - Noord Holland
The area was used to extract drinking water. When this stopped in 1982, a beautiful area with dune lakes arose. Now the area is managed by Landscape North Holland. In the part that is closed off, Highland cattle and Konik horses are kept. The walking and biking trails in the area are freely accessible.

Our second visit to this site on a bright warm Spring day, looking down through the many locks heading into Audlem (Cheshire)
At Audlem on the Shropshire Union canal there is a run of 15 locks descending into and through the village as you head north

Mussenden Temple is a small circular building located on cliffs near Castlerock in County Derry, Northern Ireland.
The temple was built in 1785 and forms part of the estate of Frederick Augustus Hervey, the 4th Earl of Bristol, Bishop of Derry.Built as a library and modeled from the Temple of Vesta in Italy, it is dedicated to the memory of Hervey’s cousin Frideswide Mussenden.
The Temple offers views westwards over Downhill Strand towards Magilligan Point and County Donegal, and to the east Castlerock beach towards Portstewart, Portrush and Fair Head.
Both Mussenden Temple and Downhill Beach were used in Game of Thrones as filming locations for Dragonstone. Remember the
burning of the ancient gods by Melisandre on the beach? Well, that was here. And also where Stannis Baratheon pulls the
flaming sword "Light-bringer" out of the flames.
... and she fought for it every day.

You know I like to do sunrises, unfortunately there was not a decent one all the time I was in Iceland. This was the closest I got. I do like the range of blue tones tinted by the pinks.
In winter, the rice terraces are free from plants, so that the light often reflected in various colors of the sky. When we arrived at the viewpoint pulled fog over the rice fields, but towards the afternoon (as in the picture) the fog lifted .
I think it is a hard work to plant all this fields with rice. With machines may not be working there. The non- water-filled terraces are usually planted with potatoes .
Thanks for visiting!
