skotjay: @kahliblue I would start at the beginning with one of the trades. These single issue comics are collected, generally 6-8 issues, and then made into the thicker books you see. Those books are called "trade paperbacks" or "TPB"s. On the spine of every comic trade should be the volume number. So if you got "The Walking Dead, Vol. 1: Days Gone by" you'd be starting at the beginning. If you're like me, and it doesn't matter if you have the actual paper copy in your hands, you can also download the "Walking Dead"app for your iPhone or iPad, and buy them digitally. Issue #1 is free, to see if you like it, and like reading it on your device. You should try it, even on the iPhone, its specially formatted in a way that i quite like.
